Default 97 axle

Hey guys I have a 97 grand Cherokee with the cv style axle shafts. Is there any jeep axle with universals that will inner change with it. I would like to get rid of the cv style so any help would be great thanks

Honestly I would stick with the cv axles, everyone says the u-joint style is stronger but in my experience they definitly are not. I run 35's locked up on my Dana 30 and I went through a set of chromos, put tj shafts with 760 u joints in and busted those, decided to try the stock cv boot style and have not had an issue with them (knock on wood)

But to answer your question, any cherokee from 95-99 will have the ujoint style shaft with stronger u joint although I believe they done have abs tone rings. Also tj shafts will work I'm not sure which years have the 760u joints

Thanks. I have 33x14.5 on my Cherokee and was looking for something stronger because the boggers that are on it are pretty hard on them if I had to guess. Would you still stick with the cv or change them out?

If it were me I would stick with the cv, you could go to the Junkyard and grab some u joint style ones for ****s and giggles to see how they do
