97 to 95 tc swap

97 to 95 tc swap
I would like to know if a 242 transfer case from a 97 gc will fit in a 95 gc without an input shaft swap? My vc is going out and this is a cheaper route to go. Thanks for any help.

V8? you will likely have to change the input shaft because the transmissions are different from 95-97. You also need the rear driveshaft,linkages,bezel,wiring. And rewire your VIC so it knows what range it's in.
