I have to replace all of 4 of the ends, 2 tie rod, and 2 drag link? Any suggestions. Im looking for best prices for the ends (ORiley's so far) and suggestions..
at this point, i'll order the ends, have them on Sat, install and then have the truck realigned.
This is my daughters truck so i want it right.
I'll let you know how it goes..

I would buy Moog from rockauto.com for $25 each. A bit more than economy grade, but well worth the price. You can get them in 2 days if you want to pay for it.

Do you also buy tools at Harbor Freight? I personally don't care for Autozone or Advance Auto. To me they feel like Dollar General. I buy my parts from known national manufacturers. Moog has been around since steam locomotives. JMHO.
All I'm saying is he can buy MOOG cheaper at Advance Auto, how is AA any different than Rock Auto as far as quality haha?

I was just pulling your chain about HF! It was a joke already!
If Advance Auto has Moog, I'd buy them there also. I'm just saying I trust the brand, not the store. JMHO.
One thing about replacing the ends. Don't rely on just counting the turns taking them off or installing them. Use a tape measure between the grease fittings before you take them apart to be sure the assembly is the same length. If you get the measurement withing 1/16" of what it was before you took it apart, you'll find it's pretty close to being aligned already. PROVIDED it was right before!

Ok.. got the ends, rented the puller and doing it first thing tomorrow.
As for HF.. I love them.. Im a waterman, and have lost big $$ to the deep, so now, I just get tools from HF.. They always work, and if when I drop it in the drink, Im not pissed.
Plus the HF store is just a few mins from my house here in NC
lol

OKAY, sorry about the HF rib. I have 2 friends that the only thing they buy is Snap-on and they rib me constantly about my Craftsman wrenches. They don't pick on my S-K sockets, though. The one thing I can say about Snap-on is they're polished very well before chroming. Too much money for my wallet!

You see, I've got S-K and Craftsmen tool I bought in the early 60s and only broke a 5/8 socket using it on torque wrench with a 3/8 to 1/2 adapter.
Yeah the old craftsmen tools are good. The new ones are cheap china made and break easy.Sears use to just replace a broken ratchet now they ship your broken one off to be repaired then shipped back to them.

Funny thing is that even though most of my tools are the HF stuff, I rip on them too..
