01 WJ rotor/caliper issues...
So, bear with me on this... I'm not as familiar with WJ issues as I am with XJ's, & only have time to buy/fix the brakes before Sunday, then drive to Vermont
I know the rotors are warped, & I know it's because of the Teves calipers... Did a quick search, Akebono calipers are the only remedy? or maybe drilled/slotted rotors??
I want to remedy the problem the right way, with the Akebono calipers, but I just can't afford an almost complete brake overhaul right now... I'll only be installing new rotors & pads, on all 4 corners, for the trip
What're the chances drilled/slotted rotors will be the solution, & prevent future warpage?
When these pads wear out, & I upgrade calipers, I NEED to install new rotors? & only '02+ rotors??... Can't I get away with using '02+ rotors now, & have them resurfaced when installing Akebonos??
Gotta get this done tomorrow, along with making sure I've got everything I need for the week... Thanks in advanced ya'll

I have an 01WJ with 140k on it, I changed the front rotors and pads out and kept my teves calipers. No problems. I went to autoanything.com and got the PowerStop cross-drilled and slotted rotors and their pads as a package deal. Not a problem since, stops on a dime. Best 160 I ever spent. Seems like a lot at first glance but they really work.
