Having high oil pressure issues...
Driving around, my oil pressure gauge reads upwards of 100+ psi! Off the charts – the needle is almost flat 180 deg. all the way over to the right. It drives fine, but one weird thing I noticed is that when I take a turn to the right the oil pressure goes down, when I straighten out and turn left, the gauge goes crazy again. What is this? I'm hoping that it's just the gauge that is going bad, not a serious problem. Been like this for the past two weeks, is this a major breakdown waiting to happen?

The gauge pegged at the top end is usually a dead giveaway of this, the pressure relief valve on the oil pump opens at 75 psi so pressure in excess of that is almost always a bad sending unit.
The sending unit is an easy fix it is right above the oil filter, just unplug the connector, unscrew the sensor, screw in the new one and plug the connector back in. Be very careful when changing the oil filter, it is very easy to accidently hit the sender and damage it.

good luck replacing that, ive replaced it a few times after I stupidly broke the sensor when doing my first oil change on my jeep about 9 years ago. its been pegged ever since, I suspect it might be something else.

I would guess you damaged the wiring when you broke it some how.

Sounds like a bad oil pressure sending unit, this is a very common failure.
