Alright. I just went out and bled it with the engine off and a lot of bubbles came out. Im gona let it sit and go do it again and then see how it does. Will it do any damage to drive it like this for a day or two?

He doesn't have a wj pump. That thread has nothing to do with a stock pump. This is a very common mod.
You drilled the hole too big.

I told you to go easy but I guess I should have been a bit more specific. The pump will cavitate and whine if the oriface is too big.

Minimal update and I forgot to take pics, but I swapped my XJ drop pitman arm for a waggy drop arm from BJ's offroad. This gave me my steering angle back and now the spindles go stop to stop, where they used to stop almost an inch short.
I havent done much else. I am going to keep wheeling it this year and accumulate some parts for the next projects.

Well I got out and wheeled Sunday (I should have some pics soon) and had my first failure, but not what I expected. It was the end of the day and on the way out of the trail. The rear diff caught a rock and rolled it up. When the diff came off of it the jeep came down right on the gas tank and the engine shut off immediately. We towed it out of the trail and winched it onto the trailer.
I will have some pics tonight of my solution.

OK finally got my phone to cooperate. My desktop is down so I dont have a card reader for my regular camera.
So I pulled the tank to see what happened. I didnt take a pic but what caused it to stop running was the piece that connects the module to the pump its self, its a plastic stand pipe sort of thing. It was broken off.
So I threw the tank into the cargo area and put another pump module in.
I wired the pump and extended the lines.
I got some universal light duty tie downs and riveted them through the floor for strap anchors.
I used 1" ratchet straps for now. I plan on replacing it with some sort of fuel cell at some point so I didnt go crazy.
Dont mind my 2x4 either lol, the bottom of the tank tapers so it needs to be tipped up. I might make a nice base for it to sit in. Not too worried though, it works.
So no more smashed tanks, and I have room to move the axle back, and plenty of room for the truss and links that will eventually be on the axles.

Shouldnt be any. Vent line goes back into the charcoal canister like stock. As long as the gas cap doesnt leak there is no way to get fumes inside.

OK, so I have been debating on what to do with my front bumper for some time. The bottom hangs down too far and I smash it into stuff all the time. So I cut everything off of the main tube and cut the rest apart.
I shortened the main hoop and reattached it to the main tube. I didnt put any of the other pieces back on. I kind of like it how it is, but Im still debating running a straight tube from the hoop to the main tube. We will see.

And a before for reference
