Hey so i know you did the wj knuckle swap a while back and you did alot of research on what size wheels/backspacing you can run with them. Do you know if i would be able to do that swap and use my 15x8 wheels with 4" bs?

Depends on which calipers you use. You should use the akebono caliper. It's the update to the teves, but a little larger. You will have to grind it a considerable amount. I had 3.75" and had to grind a lot off the top to clear the rim shell. It also depends on the wheel. The step in my wheel was almost right against the caliper. I don't think I would have been able to grind enough to clear 4" with my wheels. So, the worst case is you pick up a couple 1/4" wheel spacers.

Alright thanks guys. Im having a huge debate with myself on weather to upgrade my stock axles, or save up and build a 60/14bolt. Ive switched sides like 5 times in the past two days. lol

Did a little wheeling at one of my favorite spots. Everything is working very well.
I swapped out my front 5150's for a set of BBC's. The body is a little longer at the same travel, so with my taller springs I didnt have to change the shock mounts.
The only issue I had really was steering, still tough when bound up. So last night I pulled the pressure fitting out of the pump and opened it up. Seems better, but Ill find out once I get it out again.

sounds like its about time for some redneck ram

I kind of liked the stance better on 37's. how do you like the 40's over 35's and 37's? I've watched a couple vids of rigs that progress to larger sizes over the years and it seems like the smaller sizes crawl better

The only difference from the 37's is I went to a 4.5" spring up front from a 3.5", and I moved the rear axle back another 1.25".
The 40's seem to work much better than either of the other sizes I've run. The stuff that used to be hard to crawl on 35's I cruise over now. So now I'm always looking for the harder line, and the bigger obstacle.

It went in right after the axles were done. 40's, welded front, and 4 psi dont like to turn though.Yeah, 0 regrets. I would do some things differently if I did it again, but basically for the same end result. I REALLY enjoy wheeling this thing. I liked it on 35's too, but its nothing like this.

That's awesome man. This is still one of my favorite builds just by how simple it is. And I'm partial to silver. Do you have plans for a cage? Where's the rest of this build headed. Staying full bodied I hope
