XJ makeover, One tons and 40's.
Sweet I'm looking to build up some axles by the end of summer. Would i just be able to meet you to save on shipping? Hell maybe we can just work out a some deal and you do the install as well.
Yes unfortunately. Need to get my camaro back up and running before I can do axles in the jeep. Im going to be away this weekend and the jeep is getting some clayton long arms installed but i will definitely take a rain check. Can't wait to test them out

If we dont get out this weekend than we definitely will next so I will let you know. It never hurts to have new jeep friends
You will be happy with them. We get out and wheel quite a bit. I try and wheel every weekend possible. I am going to try and make more trips out to Rausch this year and a trip to big dogs too.

Yes I sell and install gears/lockers.
There are some good spots close to me. I won't go into detail on the public forums.
I like going to mass as well, but you better have at least one locker to really do anything.

Hmmm ill have to keep that in mind. I'd love to do an 8.8 swap with some rear discs in the near future.
Gotcha haha, well i will certainly let you know when i go to upgrade

Time for an update. I wheeled a couple weeks ago, and somehow didnt get any pics, but I got a little throttle happy and had a little issue.

So thats it for spring set #2. Over the weekend I picked up a bunch of springs. A pair of 4.5" main leafs and 2 sets of waggy leafs. One rear set and one front.
So heres my plan. The waggy rear spring is quite a bit longer than the xj, (51.5"vs57) but Im going to use it. Well attempt to anyway. I dont have a lot of uptravel in the rear anyway so if my shackle angle is over 45 its fine. So I did a little fuzzy math and picked up a set of boomerang shackles that are 7" center to center. From my prior fuzzy math calculations I believe they will sit roughly 50 degrees. So this is good, if Im right.
So the waggy leafs also had the overload leafs from the towing package. I removed the bottom arched leafs and replaced them with longer thinner leafs from the front pack. Then I put the thick, straight overload spring back on the bottom. Im going to use this leaf like a traction bar. When the spring wraps this overload is going to stop it.
They have a decent arch, and the pack is thick, (6leafs total) so I hope its not too tall. If it wasnt so hot I would have started to swap them but Im done dealing with heat today. So maybe after work tomorrow Ill get some pics of the packs and get them in.
Oh, and the center pin is 2 or 2.5" farther back than an xj leaf so its perfect for me. I can run my perches in the center hole as the rear is stretched 2.5" now anyway.

I didn't have a leaf the right length to take up that space but it shouldn't matter. Under load the rear of the pack is forced apart so I think it will be ok.
