Whoa lol I am on a college budget too. Nice jeep and build man. It is looking great. I guess us college boys are not doin too bad. I was lucky and have been pretty good at wheelin and dealin. Sold my last rig for 2600, and bought my jeep for less than the lift would cost that it has on it. Most expensive part is done. (the lift) well, besides that I want bigger rims and tires. Btw mine is a 5 speed I6 1989 xj with almost 8 and a half inches of lift and I only paid 2000$ for it. Then I spent the remaining money on wheels, tires, and a high lift jack. lol.

I need a job though for the winter. I have applied EVERYWHERE (like 10 places) around here....theres not much to choose from. I called them all back and asked them if they reviewed my application and still no job. I am about ready to just say f*** it and work at McDonalds

Few wheelin pics from the cabin this weekend. Half of these are in the backyard

Got some snow

Harvested a decent little buck. Last year I can do this now that I am no longer a Junior

And boy did I get some funny looks...but ALOT of thumbs up haha

I did me some snow wheeling just not too long ago
It was very fun, the only downside was on the ride home my jeep was making a god-awful noise. It sounded like something rattling/clanking, and it only went away when I took it out of gear and rode neutral...I was very worried, then all of the sudden it was gone. Guess I just had something wedged somewhere. Who knows. If it comes back, it wont be driven anymore til I fix it so nothing catastrophic happens.

So, its been a while since an update, not that anyone cares
lol
So here is whats happening my way. I have had an everlasting struggle to find a job these last 3 months. I have applied to 21 places, no interviews no nothing.
My tires are bald as sit, and my jeep isnt all that safe to drive with them, and I dont have any gas 90% of the time.
So I get a call on my way to a fellow Jeepers house to do tube fenders on his TJ ...my friend ben (another fellow jeeper in our club) has 4 free Cragar D-Windows for me...I am ALL over that. They just need some TLC.
So I have them...I get a call yesterday from my friend Brad (ALSO jeep club member/founder). He tells me his dad sold him a truck for dirt cheap that has 31" BFG A/T's and he is picking up my wheels, blasting them, painting them, mounting, and balancing those tires on them. FOR FREE! What a great friend.
And then today...I got a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know where my first paycheck will be going...his mailbox
Great week! Updates coming soon!!!!!!!
EDIT: Oh and XJ?2010...I thought you were talking about JKS Disco's. I already have the RC disco's....and YES they ARE a ***** to disco hahahaha
