Building a bumper that looks like this. I have to make one more tie in plate, gather up some metal, and buy some more cutoff wheels. I have D ring tabs and everything off the jeep, just gotta do the work. I get my wisDUMB teeth out tomorrow though which will slow things down

Jeep is getting some TLC this week. Lots of painting and detailing. Seeing all the clean jeeps at the PA Jeep show made me a little jealous

Thanks man! It is getting there. There's still lots of stuff I would like for it to have (like gears and bigger tires) but It's getting there

Before.

After

My lower trackbar bracket is limiting all my droop. I am gunna trim it up, and relocate my steering stabilizer axle mount as well, unless I can trim it without getting rid of that.
This was all the work I could do before my face was throbbing from my wisdom teeth surgery last tues. I have alot more that I want to paint and clean up.

My goal with the build is to make it simple, but different. My friend used to work at a body shop, so he has all the equipment to paint. Which really makes me want to paint it a cool color like burnt orange or something that nobody has. I really like this color. It's like a glossy OD

Did some work on the hoopty today (I am crazy i know. Its 100+ out there). Painted alot of my steering and my axle (while in the jeep thanks to painters tape). Just cleaning things up a bit. Hit alot of stuff with the wire wheel. Also swapped out my Flex Joints on the long arms. Well, one of them. one WILL NOT come off. I am getting frustrated, but I didnt try long enough. I was too hot.
Here's how bad my RC joint was after ONE YEAR. I only wheeled it at RC one time, and a few local trips. Nothing major, mostly road driving.
And one of the CA bolts decided to hope threads while loosening it (idk why I always have this problem. My RC U Bolts did this too. Weird) causing it to snap.

Here's the new joint. SO much tighter than the old ones

It's not done, but I had to move back to college so its done for now. It came out wider than we thought it would so we're gunna shorten in, and instead of doing a 90 degree cut, we're gunna do a 45, to follow the body line, cap it, then add side protection.
Also, d ring tabs are in the works
