So the Frankenstein plan fell through faster than a fire through a gasoline house (?) My father decided to give me his 1999 Jeep Cherokee sport nicknamed by yours truly as Junior, it has a custom 1 of a kind skyjacker 4 inch lift kit, 31" general grabber AT3s, a redone 4.0 with the good head on it, 242 transfer case and 190,000 miles on it so the plan is similar to Frankenstein, add lights, CB radio, and daily drive/weekly off road the beast! But first it needs some work. The rocker is split like a rock punctured it and split it open, the power steering line crimp is garbage, and maybe some more stuff idk yet but I'm super excited to have Junior!
Like I'd love to ask the kid who owned it before my father why didn't you stop reversing on the rock when you knew it punched through the rocker!
Good news though is that I should hopefully have it up and running on the road by the end of June! Trying to get some advice or ideas for things to do to it or put on it, might put a exo roof rack on it
So the last update for Junior today, got it running and shifting and spinning the tires. Still can't get it on the road soon enough though! Tomorrow after my college classes I will be going to the garage and replacing the wheel cylinder on the passenger rear, and Maybe do the brake shoes but not sure about the shoes yet. Also found out my KC light bracket won't fit a Cherokee but it fits a scout so a bit disappointed there. But I'm not gonna let those tiny things stop me from getting the jeep on the road!
Reusing the picture to show the brake hardware my father gave me with the jeep.
I'm drafting up a list of things to do on junior. I'm quite surprised of how little it needs to be done. Which is largely due to the work my father and I have done before on it.
Already got power steering fluid done, new battery, new fuel filter, and front end is greased

In addition to discovering that the Jeep has 3.73 gearing. I also found out that the majority of the harnesses and wiring has been upgraded so very happy to find that out
Update again. These are what remains to be done: check front wheel bearings, do passenger side rear wheel cylinder, rocker panel patchjob, and the tail pipe needs to go on. That's all that is left. I'll deal with the wiring as well
Thinking about adding a set of lights at the corner of the front fenders where the windshield and the top of the fenders meet, similar to where the police cars have the spotlight mounted. Also got a 1000 cca battery ready to go in the Jeep so thats good. hopefully I get out early enough to do some work on it

Going to be checking the front end on the Jeep and double checking the power steering lines for any leaks, then possibly swapping out the battery. Oh and gonna get some fuel for Junior as well!
Checked the front end, it's perfect. Power steering level has not gone down at all and am going to start disassembling the passenger rear brakes and Maybe bang it all out today!
