Starting the reassembly process for the brakes today and the only challenge that is going to be encountered with getting the Jeep out of the shop today is where it is in the garage
Junior is all the way in the back corner next to a customer's scout 800.
Behind junior is another customers scout II with a blown 152 4 cylinder.
Lastly is this junk that is my ex step mother's and this needs to get out.
Once those are moved Junior is coming out of the garage for the first time in over a year or two!

Brakes are on and adjusted, the tires are aired up. And if it wasn't for the Rockers I'd be driving Junior home today!

Readjusted the brakes again...
And checked the gear oil...
Tomorrow I'll be rust proofing the lines and inner rockers, then moving the scout out of the way and driving Junior around the lot!

So today I rust proofed the brake lines from the master cylinder to the rear brake Junction block and rust-proofed the front brakes on both drivers and passenger side rust-proofed the floors rust proofed the passenger rocker as well as a tiny rust spot on the front fender on the passenger side I rust-proofed the fuel line and I rust-proofed what's left of the inner rocker on the driver side and tomorrow after I help my dad pick up a press( for his birthday present on the 4th) tomorrow I'll be driving the jeep in the parking lot very excited!

So Junior is on the ground finally, I have to move the scout out of the way and then I'll be driving it around the parking lot. After that it comes back in, the rocker gets taken out (what's left of it) and the new one gets welded in. Then supposedly I'll be painting a few spots but not 100% sure on the painting idea.
Really excited about this!

After putting so much time and effort sweat a little bit of Tears some swearing and a lot of energy today I have the jeep that my dad bought two years ago that was beat up broken and not close to being done it is now close enough to being done where it is now at the front door of the garage I am so happy right now that project junior is almost done for now at least!
Time to move it!
Junior making the turns
Came within inches of hitting the white rocket Grand Cherokee
Its almost out!
I'm literally shaking I'm so happy and proud of myself for having done almost all the work on it!

Happy Fourth of July everyone so on top of it being the Fourth of July and my dad's birthday today it's also the day where junior gets to bust my *****. Both washer fluid pumps are junk.
Yep they're garbage. Completely rusted to death
So next was me stripping enough for the welding to get done on the new rocker
Nice shiny new rocker!
All set to get sectioned in. Hopefully it will happen friday but who knows
Once those two things are done it's put on the tail pipe and do the paperwork and it's good!

Awesome. What's the plan, step-by-step wise on the rocker replacement? Is it like floor pans, where you lay the new piece over and trace? Then cut it out? Or do you have to actually drill out the spot welds and sort of "uninstall" the original?

Honestly I want to section the good portion of the factory rocker and cut the new rocker and Stitch it in place of where it's all rotted so that way it minimalizes how much has to be disturbed

And a bit of humor I think these pumps would have lasted many many more miles to come
They're mint!

To elaborate on the rocker there is a good section of steel that is still good so I hope that my dad can weld on the new steel to that and then hopefully patch the section of the inner rocker that is rotted and missing

So didn't get anything done on the Jeep today, but I did pick this up from my friend so hopefully it will work on Junior
