Quote: nice looking bumpers... any more pics? where did you get them?
Drake from www.TDoffroad.com made the bumper. He's one of the best fabricators I've ever seen. His craftsmanship is awesome and it only took him three weeks from the time we spoke, worked out the design to the time it arrived at my doorstep. I paid $450 for the bumper. Can't beat that with a stick.

I was able to get the bumper sanded down and another coat of black on it today.

I still have to paint the plate where the winch sits and the bottom of the bumper.

I got the front axle truss cut down and set into place also. It was a tad too long to fit between the coil buckets so I just trimmed a few inches off both sides then grinded a little bit more off to make it a snug fit. We'll be welding this to the coil buckets and also to the axle so I wanted to make sure it was a nice fit.

I finally got my tube bender setup too. It's not calibrated with the degree dial or anything yet but it's finally anchored to the concrete floor now. It's been laying in pieces in my garage until today.

I also started doing some prep work for the tube fender project... just eyeing up some lines and taking some measurements.

Tube fender prep work. also started eyeing up how I'm going to trim the fenders for the tube fenders. The corners will have a 4.5 inch radius, not squared like the tape shows...

Looks good. I like the front bumper. I saw a Tangent bumper a long time ago and it is still one of my favorites.

Thats the exact bumper that I got the idea from. He changed the ends to wrap around the front fenders so I can tie my tube fenders into it. Other than that change... its basically the same design.

Our Afghan National Army/Police Rangers have that same setup. Once my camera arrives, I'll post a pic.

Here you go, starting on page 4 is a XJ tube fender build by FrankZ so you can get some more ideas. http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showt...=114040&page=4

And if you haven't ran across Cruzin Illusion's bad *** XJ by now here is his bolt on tube fender thread. http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=97180

Cruzin's idea is where I'm getting mine from. I've read that thread a few times and I have a pretty good idea on what I'm doing on mine now. He did a great job on his tube fenders...
