my tow strap snapped a few weeks ago, so didnt have one. i think next time we will hook his jeep up to a tree with a tow strap and then use his winch so that he wont slide around

Well ive been thinking, and i think Part 1 of my build is pretty much done. Which was getting the jeep running right, accessories, and cleaning it up a lot.
So this means i'm on to Part 2. Which would be more important things offroad wise. I've been looking around and reading up and have decided to do a more low cog setup suspension/tire wise. So instead of going up to 6.5 like ive been talking about throughout my whole thread, im gonna stay at 5.5'' front and back, move up to 35s, gear my axles, and trim my fenders. I think low cog setups look great, so i sort of want to head that way.

so on the list for the next year:
replace 3.5 lift/spacers/blocks with 4.5'' full leafs and 5.5'' coils

35x12.5x15 BFG Km2s when my 33s wear out, and these will be on my black rock series 997s with 3.75 bs

regear axles

bumpstops

and trim fenders front and back

long term plans are still:
long arms, logans fab rear bumper, diff covers, lockers ect....

Hey good luck on saving up for the build. When you do rip out the 3.5 lift, and if your looking to sale the wheels I would be a buyer for both. I have a Black 97 XJ, and was looking at a 3 inch lift anyway.

Edit: Forgot to mention I would make the drive to pick up to avoid shipping since Im in Kentucky.

I feel like half of my thread is becoming stories about mud and getting stuck. but i have another one, and just got back home to so figured id share it haha.

Got a call from my friend around 12 telling me he was stuck at our friends mudhole that we go to all the time thats about 3ft deep... he drives an avalanche.... i said ''congratulations, your an idiot. i just detailed my jeep im sure as hell not pulling your a$$ out'' but i went to check it out anyway, and the mud was so tempting... and ofcourse i had to go through it. went through it a few times and sprayed his truck with mud. tried to pull him out, but no luck since my xj is so light. so we call up a kid in his 1500 truck, but it couldnt get him out either. so called my friend with his cj(again) knowing he couldnt get him out with his winch.... but figured we would try anyway and i had a genius idea of hooking my jeep to his and then winching, and it worked flawlessly. Got that pos out and went to the quickwash. eventful morning to say the least, and now i have to clean my jeep inside and out again...

doesnt look so bad right?.... wrong

the real vehicles arrive....

hooking my jeep up to his

finally out and at the gas station, i of course had to show off and went through were he got stuck no problem and got a little muddy

washing mud off 3x in one week absolutely sucks.

i have my hardship so i can drive to class twice a week, and usually mess around after. but my sisters back from college for christmas and is 18, so shes been riding around with me lately, and she doesnt mind wheeling with me either since her bf has a jeep to.

I actually dont even drive it that much, maybe 2 or 3 times a week at the most.

Enjoy it while it lasts! All too soon you'll be looking back fondly at this point in your life

Well, you'll be looking back slightly MORE fondly at the point right after you get your regular license
