I have been reading threads on here since i bought my XJ 6 weeks ago and i had seen RIP Brian signatures many times, but i read through every page of this thread tonight compiling questions to ask him, but it was not until 15 minutes ago that i realized who Brian was. I did not know him but admired everything he did to his jeep. RIP Brian.
I apologize if any of this is out of line, this is my first post.

Just read through this as many have. I knew about Brian, but was not as active on the forum when I joined (5-2011), didn't know he had a build. What a great build, would of loved to wheel those same trails.
RIP Brian, still never forgotten.

I know I just recently created an account on here, but I read through this entire build. I honestly feel like I knew him from day one when he got his Jeep in '06. Brian put in some serious man hours in on that rig, and it turned out amazing. If this is okay with everyone on here, I'd like to throw an idea out there.
My idea: "Project Black Sky: Perrine Edition"
To build a 1996 Jeep Cherokee to match the one Brian had, auction it off and give the proceeds to the family.
I mean no disrespect. If this is considered offensive to anyone, I will can the idea. I just think it would be a nice memorial to an inspirational man and his well built machine.

RIP
Man I spent all day reading through this thread hoping that if I looked at the end I would see his bad *** jeep and how it looked right now and then to find out what happened. I didn't know the guy and never got the opportunity to talk to him but it hit me pretty hard and i guess that shows how much of an impact he was on this thread and the community. RIP Man and Wheel on

Dang.
Just read through this. Hard to keep back the tears. So young. So much talent and passion. Not many young ones like Brian. Makes my plans look small. R.I.P. The world is not the same without you.

So sad. I just joined the forums a few days ago and when I went to start a build thread I noticed this was stickied. Wondering why, I clicked and began reading. What an incredible individual. What an incredible build. To have known such a person...I can only try to imagine.

Im new to the forum and just found this thread; It made me sad to find out Brian passed away. His build truly inspires me as I look for an xj to buy and start my own build. I seems like you guys have a great community here.

Just passed through Las Cruces last week and thought about this guy. I didn't know Brian personally but I am sure he was a great guy. I know he is deeply missed by his parents, family, and friends. RIP Brian.
