well it still was not starting right (or at all...) so I roll started it in the drive way and took it to my parts store, removed it in the parking lot and had it tested... it passed but you could just hear it was way slow then it stopped working.... we pulled it out of the machine and the gear was WAY loose then with a good hit it retracted and was tight again...

So I have been messing my camera and mounting and just having fun with it...
so here are the quick edits of the camera shots just to test the mounts.
I took the jeep down/up one of the old mine roads, nothing to extreme but just a nice drive.
The videos themselves are nothing special just wanted to get them off pavement to try the mounts
Front Mount HD (going back down the trail)
Undercarriage Mount HD (going up the trail)
I still have to try a mount that extends out from the vehicle and shoots down the side of the jeep. But there are some problems that I need to sort out with that one first

Thanks guys.
we have a HUGE trail system within 10 miles max from my door step. the mining road I was on yesterday is 5 miles up university then you pull off and go towards the mountain.
and this is how I mounted it.

it is a:
Thumb Screw>lock nut>flat washer>small o ring>big o ring> fender washer>body panel>fender washer>big o ring>small o ring> camera
the O Rings act as a shock absorber which is why the camera stays pretty solid mounted.
the Lock nut allows me to adjust the height on the whole set up depending on what it is mounted to.
it is pretty ghetto but it works.
I can also flip and rotate video in my editing program so it is not a big deal. I plan to make a sick video after a few wheeling trips of video.
