Project BLACK BETTY
Ok so I allready started on the project but I will bring all up to speed..........I bought a 1988 Black Cherokee Limited Selec Trac from a guy in town after looking for one for a couple of months....I paid $1000....The guy told me he bought it from an old man who towed it behind a RV and used it at his hunting club.....The seller had pulled all the carpet and truck bed coated the floor because the sun roof leaked and the heater core was bad which ruined the carpet.....He was selling cause it needed front end work....He was asking $1500 I offered $1000 cash and she was mine.......My cherokee has all options except the tow package dana 44 (we will get to that later) So I brought her home and wanted to make sure it would be a good driver first the front end work it needed was front hubs and the track bar tie rod was shot........I replaced the hubs (bought some off Ebay) what a pain the passenger one came right out but the driver side one was super stuck had to use a puller and use the ratchet extension method (where us put the extension in between the axle tube and the knuckle then turn the steering wheel) the axle popped out but the hub was frozen on the end so i use piniteating spray and let it soak over night and the used a puller and one big air compressor to pull the hub off and replace it......Enough about that it sucked and took quite a few man hours to do...Next I replaced the heater core ( better have the better part of a day to do this not hard but there is a ton of stuff you have to take out).....Next I replaced the overflow tank and the heater fan motor......
