If you read in my earlier post, I could NOT figure out why my jeep would not shift, I tried everything, from changing the tranny fluid, to changing the complete tranny myself, come to find out after ALOT of research, the aw4 is ELECTRONICALLY controlled, by the tcu,
For some reason mine would not comunicate with the trans, I unplugged it and the junkyard trans, shifts fine. Just no 2nd gear.
I can't deal with that, too much strain on the thing gettin up to speed, then you've got no overdrive, so I bought a 4 panel switch, from autozone, in pic 1, and it's not pretty but that's the wiring harness i made in pic 2, this may be the coolest thing I've done, I have complete control of every gear, plus t/c lockup in any gear but first, here's how I wired it, The 1 on the panel turns solenoid1 on,(first gear) the 2 turns solenoid2 on(2 gear)press 1 again turns solenoid1 off(3rd gear)then push 2 again to turn. Solenoid2 off(4th gear) Then the 4 on the pad controls t/c lockup.....with some practice it's like driving a manumatic or something, I love the complete control of engine

Plus I bought yesterday, a wench from my boss, never used in the box, for 40$. How do I mount this thing? I didn't think about that before I bought it, too good of a deal to pass up.

 

3000LB? I'd mount it on my ATV... Its not really good enough for use on a xj.

Btw I installed an updated grill from 98 town and country.

 

I couldn't take it.. I wanted black rims.. But I still wanted the jeep sport rims..

 

not sure how i feel about the new grill, but i dig the rims for sure man!
