Okay.. About four years ago I bought this xj
when I bought it, the motor ran great, but it
would not shift until 4000 rpm., I thought the
tranny was bad in it, I drove it like that for two
years. Then it started making this horrendous
noise in between the tranny and engine...
So I parked it.. It sat for two years..I was thinking
it was screwed.! Until I found these forums.. It made me
decide to fix the thing..

So here we go

as it sat.. I went and pulled a junkyard tranny

put the tranny in... I pulled it out and cleaned her up!!

it had alot of bad wiring so I replace the panel and wiring

I replaced, oil pump, water pump, alternator, and put brand new a/t tires on it!!

I think there tough enough!!... My aux fan was all jacked up and broken and the wires were
all freyed,

placed the new one in

I put a dummy switch for a starter button

Btw the tranny wasn't bad...I read on these forums how to fix it
check the tcu!! I just unplugged it, and now it shifts fine, manually
but my g/f insist on getting a new one

BODY LIFT... jk jk. I would do a bastard pack in the rear and bigger coils/spacers in the front. Other options include shackles or AAL in the rear. I would not do blocks.

for 2 in lift you can get coil spacers and shackles. better to get shackles than AAL because when u go bigger and get like tire carriers and stuf you'll probly end up using the spacer to get it back up to the right height
