My new 2 door build
Heres the deal, im new to the forum along with the jeep world. Having said that I now know why all you jeep owners are always so passionate about your jeeps, I absolutley love mine. I figured id show yall what I plan to do to my baby now that I just bought her. What really sucks is 2 days after I bought it I suffered a knee injury and havent gotten to drive it since...but theres always a silver lining to every story because in my down time I went a little shop happy on the web and now have a back hatch full of new goodies I cant wait to get installed. So here it goes, it wont be much for now but once this injury is gone ill get my *** in gear
Heres what she looked like the day I bought it off my good friend who babied her
Already installed was the Brush guard, rusty's cold air intake kit, window tint, dual side pipes, raptor lined rockers and fender flares and window tint.
Not bad for $2000 eh?
So far in my extreme bordom ive ordered a 2" coil spacer and add-a-leaf kit from fatbobsgarage.com along with a helix throttle body spacer from intakespacer.com, a set of speaker boxes for 6x9's since I only have one working speaker and have two perfectly good 6x9's laying around, and some new decals (to add some extra hp's lol).
"Helix TBS" Let me kno if anyone has this spacer id like to hear some input on it.

I have a two door myself, and I really like the chopped exhaust and tips! What percent tint are your rear windows? I like the way they look and want to get it done for my own jeep. DIY or cost for install?

From what I've heard, that TBS is a little help on gas mileage, But isn't as helpful on the XJ's smaller throttle body and different injection system.

Yea I kno everyone has different opinions on whether they actually add power or not but im mainly looking for the extra mpgs. The way I see it if it adds power great, if it helps mpgs even better, if it dont do anything oh well it was only 35 bucks lol. But I kno on my buddys toyota truck it would run 3000 rpms at 75mph and after he put his tbs on it ran 3000 rpms at 90mph so it maid some kind of difference. So I guess ill see if it changes anything on my xj thanks for the input tho.

Well I decided to get off my a$$ today and managed to get my TBS installed. As for adding power I think it did mostly between 2 and 4 thousand rpms and you can clearly hear the air bein sucked in harder along with a more noticable whistle. Guess ill just have to find out on the mpg's now lol.

yeah i waited a long time to get it realigned since it wasnt a huge difference. but you'll wanna get it aligned for sure. brakes plus is doing a special for 35$ alignments if you are close by one.
the coil spacers went it relatively easy. just have to take out the .25 inch insulator at the top.
well atleast mine didnt fit.

Alright good to know thanks man. After thinkin about it im pretty sure im gonna wait a little bit to install the lift. Most lilkley after christmas, hopefully ill have some money saved up by then and maybe with a little luck ill have some summit racing goodies too . But as of now im planing on just installing the lift, getting all new brakes and alignment at the same time. Since im a broke 19 year old and also without a job now since my injury ill have to hope my family members are feeling generous at christmas and hopefully I can find another job by then also. As of now ive got plenty to keep me busy with a decent amount of re wiring I need to do (mostly stereo and speaker stuff), along with putting a new front driveshaft in, and im in dire need of a good brake job. So with all of that im pretty sure I can keep myself busy So within the next couple weeks ill have a few new updates for ya guys! Thanks for everyones interest and input!
