Found out some good news today being I dont have knee surgery now. So what better way to celebrate than go work on the jeep right?

Finally decided to quit procrastinating and get my front driveshaft put in. The PO broke the old one so I picked one up from my buddy for $20 freshly greased and with BRAND NEW u-joints. In the process found out I had the np(?)-231 Transfer Case, is this a good or bad one to have? Anyways of course I had to test the 4wd so I hit up the closest field which has been rained on for 3 days straight here along with skidders and trucks running thru it, seemed like a perfect spot to me lol

Keep in mind I was only testing to make sure it worked, the real fun will come sunday or monday.

Well I was feelin froggy today and since I had a push button and switch figured why not do a push button start? Went off the guidlines in the write up section and everything was pretty easy, the only problem was I couldnt figure out which wire was the 12v ACC wire. I did multiple searches and couldnt find any of the colored wires they all mentioned so that makes me think the 97-up's are different. Doesnt bother me cuz all I have to do is turn my key on to get the radio to come on, ill worry about it someday but for now im one happy man .

I know when I did the push start button on my '96, the ACC wire was green w/ black like in the write-up. But I just looked in my Haynes manual and it says in the '97 and later models that the "ACC" wire going to the wipers is Dark Blue, but you do not want to cut this wire, splice it. I would double check for yourself on the jeep before taking my word for it.

Yea i dont think that its dark blue cuz I Cut the blue wire and ran it to the kill switch. Unless there is another blue wire which could be completley possible I just dont remember seeing one. I found a list of which colors are what and it said the ACC was purple but I didnt see a purple wire either. Like I said it doesnt bother me right now, ill most likley figure it out when I wire my cb up, probably throw a secret killswitch in too.

Oh I just seen u said the ACC was for the wipers. My wipers and everything else works even without the key in. The only thing that doesnt work without the key is my radio. The key has to be in the run position for it to turn on.

Ive come to the conclusion I need a job so bad its not funny. BUT the knee still isnt good yet. I get bored easily and im not much one for sitting around the house, so I figured I could think of something to do to the XJ today and well I did. Back in college all the ricers had the back of their hoods raised up (for what reason, idk?). We called it the "ricer 100hp hood mod". Ironic cuz I did it to the XJ today lol. Figured why not eh? It may look dumb to some people...ok alot of people but to me I think it looks good. My thoughts were maybe it would help get rid of some heat too? Saves me from cutting hood vents and it was free! Im thinking I added a few too many washers but after the hassle I went thru doing this by myself, I think ill wait to take a few out till I get some help lol. Anyways heres a few pics let me kno what yall think?

Anyway while I was under the hood I noticed ive got a coolant leak . Not sure if its the radiator or the hose yet since its only a few drips on the floor in about an hour but u can clearly see the radiator is wet around the hose on the drivers side. Not wnough of a leak for me to be worried about yet so im thinking ill start saving up for a new radiator. While im at it and will have everything torn apart (whenever I do it) I plan on doing an electric fan conversion for mpg and power purposes plus itll help keep it cool. Ive got a pet peve of cooling problems, nothing more I cant stand. Im thinking of going with the dirtbound offroad kit once again just to make myself feel good. Anyone like or dislike this kit?

Pretty much thats it for today, not much I know but this keeps me busy and my mind pre occupied lol

Feel fre to hate on me, compliment me, hell anything lol its getting borring here. Guess ya gotta have a lift and big tires to get a word around here

Been a while since ive posted, kinda got banned for a couple weeks Anyway havent really done much except play in the mud to keep myself amused. I did however get to do a seafoam treatment done today. Deffinitley getting better mpg's now.

Also I got a boost/vacuum gauge put in too. Just tapped it into the un-used plug on the intake manny. Hopefully this can help me save some mpg's too by keeping proper vacuum, but if not oh well at least it looks cool haha

Forgot to mention I re wired my fog lights so the FINALLY work, the PO had everything so f'n jacked up I coulda swore a 4 year old wired them up.
