Got my other set of 'daily' rims and tires last night. Gonna try and get them on today...I also have a set of 17s and a set of 18s that will be getting some nice street tires like a set of nittos. Hopefully get another vid with some pulls on the street tires.....headed to the jy right now to look for goodies

well I have been driving the past couple days on my street tires that I got with my limited. It has def helped put down more power to the road, the tires are way lighter and the slightly smaller diameter increases the torque.
I purchased a set of tires to put on my 17s that should help even more. they are another 1/2" wider without increasing the outer diameter.
Im also working on gathering parts for my suspension, as the motor is almost finished. after my suspension and brakes are done im either going to look into transmission upgrades, or cracking open the 4.0l for headwork.

well with the weather being slightly warmer I have been getting much better MPGs. average about 25mpgs, with a high of 27. now this is with the jeeps new summer/street tires. its like everything you get from going bigger except the opposite. minus the traction. its not everyones taste, usually including mine as well, but when do you get 27mpgs will mountain driving?
I know its a bit of a change but with the impact its only a matter of minutes to switch back and forth.

how would you like me to prove it kind sir?
how bout ill drive the jeep to NY, then when you see my mileage instead of tasting your foot, you can just pay the gas back.
ever since I got the tires swapped over I am getting 24+ even with me being hard on it occasionally. I dont post up things for your approval, or to help myself in any way. this build thread is to keep track of my modifications, and to give ideas to the community. the goal from the beginning was to get 30mpg, with 27 being the norm. right now im at 27/24 so im pretty close.

well Ill try and do some accurate testing. but with the last couple trips Im getting 25. I actually get worse mileage on the interstate. even with making the 4.0 efficient, its hard to fight the wind resistance. especially since ill end up cruising at 85-90.

lmao people cussing each other on forums is hilarious. But, i would like to know how you managed 27 MPG. I have a 3.5 inch lift, bfg wrangler 26's, exhaust, chip, tb spacer, and only get around 23 mpg.
Just reset the trip when you fill up, then the next time you fill up record the miles, then how much gas you PUT INTO the tank, divide the miles by the gallons you put in. thats the most accurate way to do it.
