but I also have a nice JVC one that is a little older, but has much better sound output. but no usb, mem card, lcd, and only an analog input.

im torn between form and function

heres the new one.
use the new one and get amps to improve the sound quality

see thats what I think. I could easily mount one in the rear and in the grill. My only issue is finding where to mount one as the "spotter" I might make it with 'quick discos' so I can pull it off in the mud and the street.

Yea this is what Ive decided on. the thing is once I get it mounted the new one might sound just fine, and I wont even need anymore than that. its also not that hard to switch out if I change my mind.

If you haven't already mounted the AEM, I woukd strongly recommended putting it in the passenger compartment somewhere, perhaps in the glovebox or center console. Keeps it clean & dry and easy to access when you feel like tweaking something.

I havent mounted it yet...the dash would be the safest, but I think the center console will be worse then under the hood. If the jeep stalls, or even slows down while fording, the interior can easily get soaked. I have only had this one in the mud+water just a few times and ive had it up to the seats in water.

well I decided I was tired of not getting work done on the jeep,so I just had to get something accomplished. I decided to start on the front end.

I decided to continue my black out theme, while trying to balance form and function.

first I masked out the light area to keep the function of the lights.

while they were drying, I blacked out the headlight ring. then sprayed the headlight trim with bedliner.

I thought the headlight trim wasnt dark enough, so I added another coat to get it to match the trim on the fenders.
