They are both good you can do more with the 231 doublers, hd chain out of a dodge, and more sye options

hmmm, I think I might run the 242 then, I dont have a lift, and will never go more than 2" so the SYE isnt an option. the jeep will also currently be street driven a lot and I think i like my AWD option it has. Any experience with the 4wd fulltime?

I have the 242 in my 99 Limited. I've off-roaded it and found the full time 4WD to be very capable on and off road. The fact I can run my T-case on dry pavement in All time 4WD is also pretty awsome. Dont have to worry about T-case bind.

I have FINALLY got my parts jeep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took it for a test drive (yes like that) then pulled the whole interior and everything I am swapping to mine. the motor runs really strong even with 10 year old oil and spark plugs and gas.

those are going to be my street/summer wheels for now. they will stay polished until I need tires, then they will be powdered black to go with the jeep

Didnt get any pics due to the rain today, but I finished tidying up the wiring in the xj, and re-cleaned the engine bay. then finished pulling the entire interior from the parts jeep. I now have a fantastic black leather seats, over head console, full gauge cluster, wood trimmed dash, black center console and best of all a complete intact center console bracket.

the only thing left to pull is the overhead wiring harness.
