I think the last pic helps indicate how this motor is going to turn out. FANtastic. right now you guys are caught up to date, but ill be keeping the work moving along so keep up. right now, as always my limited factor is $, so if I can get enough of my stuff sold faster than I need parts, then this will fly along quickly.
I have a lot of street racing experience along with wheeling experience, so Im combining them both to make a powerful, fuel economic, street friendly, offroader.
and just to give credit where its due, whenever I say "I" my father has most likely given more than a helping hand, because even if he isnt actively helping out, im still using his garage and tools.
im also going to try and keep a nice running total, so you can see how its possible to have a nice jeep on a budget.
right now I am only at $2100 total including the jeep. the stereo isnt included in that, because I already had it, so consider that as well.

theres some rust on the passenger side, so ive started removing it. Im also removing the lights as well.
1 because I think they look pretty dumb. round lights on a square xj just stand out too badly.
2 because they are not street legal in my state.

well got some big steps done today, got the driveshafts, tcase, and transmission pulled out...I only broke one bolt on the transmission support...and I could not figure out how to remove/release the tcase linkage, I ended up with it finally just breaking...I need to figure it out though so I dont break the one on my parts jeep.
threw in one more pic of the pulled engine

even had some extra time to work on the brush guard. im content, and would just paint it, but dad is a perfectionist when it comes to body work, so he wants to work on it more...removable headlight guards

tomorrow is cleanup day, get the garage all back in order again, and also clean the jeep as well, to prep everything for the new motor. I wish I had a way to make it easier to clean in the future...maybe some rainx or a ton of wax?
im also trying to gather some help from the local jeep scene to help with the swap so it can get done quickly. currently I feel like I move way too slowly and get stuck too easily, because Ive never gone this far into a jeep before. my buddy came over today and we got the trans and tcase out in an hour or so.
also since my build revolves 100% on money, im gonna go ahead and throw out there that my perfectly good transmission, tcase, head, d30, d35, driveshafts are all now forsale.
PM me if you are interested.
