1) 4.56 has a bigger pinion gear which results in more tooth engagement which means i can be harder on it lol. Do i wish i had went 4.88? Yes a lil which is why im putting 4.88s in my fathers 99xj. Started a build thread on it as well. It will be built a tad different but same basic suspension setup. Links in my sig
2) Yes it adds atleat a 1" to a 1 1/2". I carry enough weight from the bumper, armor, spare tire, spare parts, and tools in the back that it sets close to even with the front.

How do the 4.56s do on the interstate? Hills? Etc.. I checked out your fathers build already. I'll keep an eye on it
Thanks for your help

Its not a daily driver so i cant give you an honest opinion on that. It accelerates great though from the amount of driving i have done with it on the street.

Well finally loaded some pics up of my last jeep clubs fall run at Smorr. Me and a buddy went a day earlier to play around before the actuall day of the run. This was the best trip ever. The pics of me going up the waterfall is the most popular and one of the hardest spots at this park. Pics don't do it justice. Im 6'6" and the top of the waterfall was way over my head and with water coming down it. Two jeeps on 37s and one on 42s didnt make it but i did

The group i was a leading around the park sat afternoon.

Just read through your whole build great job dude. That rear quarter Armor is so Badass.
Just picked up a 2000 xj silver last month. Can't wait till after. Christmas so I can buy myself some more goodies for it.

Your welcome. Will be redoing my cb setup and installing rear disc brakes over the winter on mine. Doing an entire setup on my fathers so keep an eye on both builds.
