I've had a couple set backs that have slowed progress down a bit for me so I totally know what its like. I'm hoping to be wrapping this round of mods up next week.

Got all my steering removed and trac bars swapped out. Pulled front diff since it was leaking from last trip. Must have took a hard hit to shift the rtv. So i put a lube locker gasket on it this time see if that works better. Also threw in the steering box spacers that been sitting in my toolbox forever.

What's the benefit of your tie rod going under the knuckle when the lower tie rod is already above it?

True but if the upper connected to above the knuckle like the lower wouldn't that yield maximum clearance?

I know I'm splitting hairs but i want first hand accounts of how well the various offroad steerng packages work

It would yes, but the way he has it in order to be a true crossover steering like it is they couldn't be connected like your standard set up is. And the only other way is to put a longer mounting bar all on top of the knuckle and that would put more than necessary kinds of leverage on it and would be more prone to breaking. I may be wrong but that's how I see it anyways. I really do like this set up. Best of both crossover and OTK.

Would put too much leverage on the knuckle. Also if it was mounted to top of knuckle you would have to relocate track bar mount on the axle higher to gain proper alignment. The draglink is ran to the bottom so that the tie rod will have the maximum clearance.
