MuscleHead's Project Bolt On Bruiser 2000 Silver XJ
This is my first jeep and my way of getting into tight trail riding. Been off roading full size Dodge trucks for 10 years. Going to start small and work my way up. All modifications will be bolted on. No custom work or welding unless it is 100% necessary. All modifications will be done by me with basic hand tools. The first few months i will be gathering parts for my build so stay tuned.
The way it sits now after removing side molding and tinting the windows.

6.5" lift with some cut work on the front and a cut and fold rear. Still cant make my mind up on the brand. Rode in a club members 99xj with a 8" RC long arm on it yesterday. A lil tall for my taste but it rode just as good as stock which was odd to me. At first when i bought it was planning on just doing 33s but ive never owned a vehicle with smaller than 35s so i was like nah can't go that route. Hell my tow rig runs 37s

Our 6.5" LA kit rides better than stock on the highway - seriously. LA is the way to go!
Looking forward to seeing this silver streak in person!

Yeah i know right. I wouldnt even consider anything but long arm with this much lift. Im actually contemplating on pieceing together my own setup from various companies. Every kit out there has its pro and cons. Build mine without any cons

Picked up some beef for the front yesterday. Will probably go ahead and install sometime this week. Need to paint the frame tie ins today some time.

ahh i need long arms. my lift is somewhat pieced together with rough country, rubicon express, and rustys parts and i think its the way to go. kits are costly, and have cons.
