OK, so here is what I found, and I would realy like to get your input on here....

I wanna do this BUDGET like since its technically a winter driver for her....

I called Quadratech (or however its spelled) and told them my issue.

I asked for the cheapest way to get like 2" of lift outta the truck....

FIRST he stated that as long as its just SHOT leaf springs in the rear, a set of stock leaf packs will bring me back up to level (17"/17.5")

Now he said they have the :

TERAFLEX BUDGET BOOST kit
consists of spacers and shackles and hardware to give me about 1.5" of lift and enough to get 30's under the truck...

Its 133.99 w/o shipping

What does everyone think?

Or I found these:
http://www.4wheelcustoms.com/Product....asp?ID=193476

PLEASE TELL ME, I WANNA DO THIS ASAP if people give me good feed back....

PS-anyone have some good stock leaf packs with no sag?

Wow! And I thought my leafs were shot. Mine are curved the wrong way and look like a frown face, but yours look worse than mine. I couldn't see the top of the tire before I put on my lift shackles. Now they put a lot of tension on the leafs and they are sagging again. My leafs are actually cracked at the shackle too, so it's time for a new set. If you plan on using shackles, you'll definitely want to make a "bastard pack" if you're gonna use your stock leafs. Just get another set of leafs from another Jeep or S10, Dakota, etc. and cut the eyes off the main leaf and add it to your pack. It should be a good temporary fix. I plan on doing that when I get some JY leafs. By the way, you need some all terrain tires on that Jeep!

ok do not make a bastard pack from your springs... they are SHOT!! dont use them in a lift dont even drive on them unless you have to... they could go at any time being that bad and if it does... you hittin the ditch... find you some stock replacements in the JY... once again... they will be fine... i had a set about 2 weeks ago that were great on a 85... but i hauled it to the JY... your leafs are shot probly cause they kept that things loaded down, pulled a trailer alot, or has bad shocks... or had anyway... you need another set... thats all there is to it...

if your wanting to use it now on your springs now i think that would be real stupid man... but if you replaced the springs AND then lift then thats up to you... thats half of a 3.5in AAL lift... and thats half of the money you will loose and not get back if you went larger later like your talking bout doing anyways...

P.S. my buddy at LKQ came through for me again... got 98 S-10 rear springs with the overload spring still covered in black paint with no rust $30 for the pair... that $133 your talking about spending can get you a stock set of good springs from the junkyard and some s-10 springs to do a bastard pack around 3in if you wanted... and half of a new set of RC 3in springs... all you would need to run 3in of lift... i plan to run more like 4 or 4.5in but ive got stock WJ rear control arms i can run to do that...

I know there are other ways to better spend the money for more lift. My issue is that she does not want lift. I had a hard enough time convincing her into the 1.5" lift. Figured with the 1.5" of lift plus the larger sidewal tires than those rubber bands that are on there now the truck will sit, 2.5" taller off the ground. Dont you think.

No, no no. I wasn't saying use his stock leafs for the bastard pack. What I meant to say was when he get's the new junkyard leaf springs, use his main leaf minus the eyelets to make the bastard pack out of the JY springs. Or use the main leaf off another vehicle from the junkyard. That's what I'm doing when I get my leafs from the junkyard. I'm hacking up the leafs under my Jeep now and adding the main leaf to the new leafs I get from the junkyard.

That looks like a decent kit. It looks like it uses a full length leaf which will last longer than the short leafs used in other Add A Leaf kits. As long as you get stock replacement leafs, that should do fine. Just make sure that if you get them from a junkyard that there are no cracks in them and it's always good to check the mileage of the vehicle so you can get some leafs with less abuse.
