Anybody know what this piece is called and where I can get one besides a junkyard? It sits on top of the HVAC controls and the vacuum lines connect to the back of it. The two ears that screws go thru snapped off on mine.

Couldn't find parts online and pull-a-part is two hours away so I trimmed some washers to hold it down. It's good and tight now but I'm going to cover it in JB Weld to keep it there.

I also took the time to clean up my stereo wiring harness and run new wires for the rear speakers. Next up is the thinning out the mess of wires for the power window switches. Once I get new switches, I'll mount them in the center console somewhere.

Rear shock mounts redone and did a basic tune up (plugs, wires, cap and rotor). I built the shock mounts before I had all the weight on the back end so I ended up with less than 2" of up travel originally.

You can see the old mount (left) vs the new mount (right).

Window switches are wired up. Only two wires running to the door makes door removal super simple. Still need to remove all the extra wires from the ps door.

I love it. I think I've gone from 19 wires going to the door to 2.

So I was having an issue with my jeep running EXTREMELY rich and stumbling until it warmed up. I assumed it was because of the missing rear o2 sensor but it wasn't throwing any codes. However, I took off the intake this weekend to find the opening in the air box was completely blocked off by a plastic plate. I also thought I had a vacuum leak but apparently it was my jeep struggling to suck in fresh air.

The plastic plate is screwed to the other side of the opening. You can see the top screw just above the intake tube.

I bought the jeep with a cheap Ebay cold air intake but put this factory one on from a junkyard. I guess I got one from a different year, I didn't think there would be any difference.

Going to test drive it again tonight but it runs so much smoother and quieter that it ever has.

Replaced the water pump and thermostat because it was getting hot. (blocked air intake may have also contributed to this, melted red wire loom was also replaced)

Also, I don't have my beadlocks yet but I wanted to mount one tire to see how big they really are.

And of course it won't run at all now...

I went home on my lunch break to drive it and it's running 10x worse than before. If it's not one thing, it's another.

And now that I'm home for the night, it miraculously runs perfect again!

Anyway- here is a comparison of the plugs to unhook the door. DS only has wires for window, PS still has wires for window, lock, buttons etc.

I thought this was interesting, my Jeep is only slightly taller than a Nissan Versa.

I took the throttle body off last night and cleaned the greasy mess out of it, it was BAD. It fired up and ran great this morning, we'll see if that continues.

Hi lift jack still needs to be repainted but it's been mounted in the bed. Not a big fan of the faded red paint which is now pink.

Mounted the CB last night too. Not sure if I like the cable hanging down right in front of me but I guess we'll see.

Running the antenna for the CB and building a tailgate is next.
