So... It's about time to paint the jeep. It's getting a rattle can paint job since it's just going to get scratched up on the trail.
Do I,
1. Paint it red? (wouldn't have to do the whole jeep if color matched well)
2. Paint it burnt orange? (always wanted something like GM's Daytona Sunset, wouldn't be easy to find in a spray can)
or
3. Paint it charcoal gray? (Painted a GMC Jimmy like this one time and it looked pretty good, color would be easy to get at the local wal-mart)
The bed will get some kind of spray in bed liner.

True! Didn't think about that.
I got a little spray happy with the primer last night so even if I do go back red, I'll be doing the whole exterior.

Are you going to rattle can the whole jeep? I like that my XJ is white and so far I just tape off the area that I don't want over spray hitting and I can spot repair things (rattle can) and it looks decent enough for a trail rig. Red is a great color for this rig.

Yep, doing the whole thing. Below the lower body line will be sprayed with bed liner. In theory it should look like it did before I started cutting it apart (color wise anyway.)
You've got me thinking and I never realized but all but 1 of my projects has been spray painted to some extent.
1. 86 Bronco II with 31's painted black with a red strip (A Team style)
2. 89 GMC S15 Jimmy with a dana 30 and Ford 8.8- painted black then gunmetal gray
3. 96 GSXR 750 painted the beat up fairings to match the tank (clear coated and wet sanded too)- had it professionally painted Viper GTS blue pearl later on
4. 93 S10 Blazer with a dana 60/14 bolt- bedlined then painted below the body line to match the original 2 tone
5. 97 Jimmy with a dana 44/Ford 9"- no spray paint
6. This Cherokee...
I've got pictures of them all if anyone is bored enough and wants to see.

Back in 2006 I worked at the Corvette plant for a summer and really liked the Atomic Orange (2007 model year) and Daytona Sunset. But.. being short on time and money. It's going back red for now.
