I am pretty sure im running the same shocks with my 3.5" lift (yes call me crazy). Using RE 1396 bump stops up top and a little 3/4" thick bump at the axle side. Leaves me about 1/4" left on the shock shaft at full bump. I have 31s though so I dont have any fender rubbing issues. You guys with 35s will most likely need more.

Should be getting this thing aligned mid week, just have to do the rear brakes, make sure everything is tightened up, put in the side tie in brackets and should be good to go.

Waiting on my dirtbound offroad bump stop leaf plates but that's about it.

Well the side tie in brackets aren't exactly a "bolt in" if you have frame stiffeners.

This is a view from inside the rail, you can see the pinch seam on the inside of the rail is in the way. Can't get nut on the bolt. I'm going to have to drop the entire crossmember to gain access and cut a relief in the pinch seam.

I also had to make the slotted holes in the bracket larger in order to get them to bolt underneath and still allow them to wrap around the frame rail.

Going to be a real pain in the a$$ to drop the entire crossmember now that I have the axle and links in.

Damn, that sucks, glad I havent installed the tie in brackets yet cause I would be dealing with the same ****. Cavfab needs to come up with some solutions/install instructions ASAP for with and without frame stiffeners. This is lame.

looks like it will still suck without stiffners. I mean its right on the pinch seam and the stiffner is 3/16 right? So I would be barely higher. It will suck even more when I finally get the money and help to do stiffners on mine.

I don't have mine yet, so not sure if this is an option. What about welding the tie in bracket to the stiffener and then you could just bolt it to the side/crossmember bracket? Does the tie in bracket need to be removable?

Were you going to do the crush sleeve or is that not possibly with the position the bolt is in?

I said screw it and stitch welded the tie in brackets to the stiffeners. Should be plenty strong although not how I had planned on doing it. Luckily the alpha kit has the removable center section, hopefully I won't have to remove the outer bracket, and if I do it's nothing a cut off wheel on an angle grinder can't handle.

Don't you use the flag nut without the stiffeners? You'd be inside the unibody, so there wouldn't be a problem I'd assume.

It will still be tight when you go to install your crossmember trim the inner pinch seam accordingly, or slot the holes on the side brackets so you can move the bolt up a little further

That's exactly what I did. If I have to take the link mounts off I'll have to cut the
Tie in brackets off to do so. We shall see. Lol
