Small update. The Jeep and myself are still alive and well. Just done regular maintenance items and been on a handful of wheeling trips with no issues.
Jeep is still being worked on and upgraded. I never posted pics of the rear bumper I fabbed up but here's some photos of the process and on the jeep.
Its 2x4 .25 wall so should be plenty sturdy and offer some quarter protection. Its also tied into the frame stiffeners as well as the fuel tank skid.

It was a high around 80* for this trip, definitely gets hot but we picked a good day. Starting to warm up here but we only see a few triple digit days every year.
