I agree.
I agree with this too.
I guess I'll agree for a third time. Thanks, guys. I'm very happy with the way it looks right now. I reeeeally need to paint my end caps on the front bumper and headlight bezel and get rid of the side mouldings.
I had a shop put the lift in, so no install pics. The one part that didn't go in was my steering stabilizer because it was on back order everywhere and I still do not have it. I am getting some vibrations right around 40 mph and pretty much anytime I let off the gas. That'll have to get taken care of soon. There is some rubbing between the front tires and the very bottom corners of the fender flares. A little trimming should take care of that. If I were to do this again, I would probably add a half inch spacer in the front as it does sit slightly higher in the rear so it would level it out and probably take care of the rubbing too.

I'm trying to keep pics to a minimum right now because I have a new camera coming in early this week... but it's kind of hard to not show this thing off...

H4's are in, and they work great! HUGE improvement over stock, and I did not upgrade any wiring.
Hella bulbs

IPF housings

Back of housing

Remove rubber cover, place bulb in, then reinstall the headlight. Very straightforward.

These are noticeably brighter than the stock headlights, but I can't get a good picture of the difference in light. Stock lights were really yellow, and I was hoping the new H4's would be a bright white, but they still have a slight yellow tint to them. All pics I take of them look exactly the same as the stock headlights.

I also got around to removing my side moulding on the drivers side. It took about an hour and a half using a plastic paint scraper, hair dryer, Goo Gone, and a sponge with soapy water. The pieces come right off, but the adhesive stays on is a a real pain, but it comes off much easier when it's hot. Heat up with the hair dryer then peel away. There is still a little bit of residue which is where the Goo Gone and sponge come in. Lots of scrubbing and it all went away.
It looks so much cleaner now. I still need to do the passenger side.

There is so much mud, snow, and ice everywhere. I went on a little ride down some dirt roads, and the next day everything iced right over.

From mud...

To ice...

Switched my tires around, too. They're much better facing the right way

im so jealous! smoothest build on this site by far!
i think 45% window tint, headlight beazels painted black, and bumpers painted satin black would be the perfect finishing touches to this beast.
how much money do you have i her all together so far?

Thank you!
Thanks! Bezels are painted! Just got the second one done today. I'm letting it sit overnight to make sure it drys real good. Bumpers are next on the list, I just have to remember to get more paint.
As far as money... I'd rather not think about it. Haha. This jeep has become everything I wanted since I first picked it up, so I'm not complaining.
I do have quite a few pics that I need to put up. Headlight bezels are now painted and I started taking off the side moulding on the passenger side. Changed my oil today and then went to drive off and I lost all my oil pressure along with about 4 quarts of oil. Turns out the gasket from the old oil filter stayed on so when I put on the new filter it didn't seal. Scared the hell out of me, though. A good clay bar, polish, and wax is coming as soon as it gets warm enough. I've also been taking some videos with my Go Pro HD cam so hopefully I can put together a nice video this summer.
Resized one of pics up there to use as my avatar, so here's the full size one.

Not much progress happening lately, if anything I'm going the other direction. My sub stopped working, the latch on the hatch broke again, rattles seem to be coming from every possible spot (some impossible), and my CEL is on for an o2 sensor.
My laptop crapped out and I just bought a bike, so funds are going elsewhere right now.
Bike pics soon...
On the bright side, my steering stabilizer finally arrived so that will be going in soon. Both headlight bezels are painted and it looks much better. Almost got all that trim off the passenger side, there's just that one little piece between the door and the front fender.

Painted my headlight bezels a couple weeks ago. I used Rustoleum auto primer and gloss black paint. Two coats of each. It's a little tricky trying to get good coverage on them because of the odd shape.
primed

painted

Got my front bumper off today and Herculined it. I'm letting it sit over night to make sure its dry, but there will be plenty more pictures tomorrow.

These tires seem to be pretty great in everything. I was in some reeeal deep, soupy mud last week and they did just fine. They are directional, so I imagine if ever get stuck, reverse will be pretty useless. I'm not a fan of mud, so I try and stay away from it.
Side trim is all off! No good pics to show it, but I'll get some eventually.
I will get bumpers at some point, sooner rather than later if the Herculined look doesn't do it for me.
