Me too lol I got it used but a steal of a price if you ask me. Everyone knows how much these things go for. Basically I got half the price of a new one.

Plus it came with LED license holder and that jerry can

Anyone that does not know these things weigh a ton!

Wow! I keep an eye on craigslist locally for bumpers (although totally not ready for one yet) and they are almost always priced dangerously close to what you'd spend for a new one. 1/2 off is a steal.

Totally jealous, I love tire carrier rear bumpers. The XRC is a great bumper from what I hear, some say they had to stiffen up the mounts a bit and others say the latch sticks, but for half price that's a good find. I always scavenge Facebook, eBay, and Craigslist as well for deals even though i'm always broke.

Man I tell you I was not in the market for the bumper becuase I just dropped $500 on new rubber for the green Jeep! Figured though I'm going to be driving it for awhile and let my truck sit so it made sense. Plus if it does sell it will be good to sell it with nice tires that are Falken rated 50K miles and even in the first 30 days (1000) miles I can return them if I don't like them. I might just do the 31's and get a 3" kit on it soon.

As for the bumper again, yea I was not in the market but I came across a guy selling a 5.5" long arm kit and when I talked to him I found out he had more parts for sale. Turns out he had that bumper and he wanted a little more than what I paid so I talked him down slightly. I didn't expect him to budge considering the price they are brand new but he came down $50. Knowing it would not last I decided what the heck and it will look sweet and function very well on my '89. Besides the red Jeep is still sporting a chopped rear stock bumper so even though I didn't want spend that kind of money this week between tires and bumper it was well worth it.

The long arm kit I shared to my buddy who was looking to buy one so he is getting that. I didn't need the kit but for the price it was one of those things I was going to pickup and maybe resell. He was selling all these parts becuase his XJ got t-boned by a Toyota, Suck!

Not sure what mounts need stiffen up but I will check that out. If needed I could maybe weld some areas since I don't plan on removing anytime soon once it is on. I will also have to check out the latch and maybe it just needs some waterproof grease applied to free up sticking issue if this one has any.

Good thing for a 4.5" lift kit on my XJ becuase I have a feeling it is going to weigh it down some. I hope not too much or i will have to run relocation drop brackets in the rear and bring it back up to height to match front lol. Or just find a matching front bumper that weighs the same ha ha!

Have a helper handy when installing that bumper. Getting it up and aligned by yourself is a bad time. From my experience with it the brackets are plenty beefy, but may need the mounting holes clearanced a little to get it to line up perfectly.

Thanks I was considering a helper or even just use two floor jacks with a couple boards to do it. Your right that damn thing by itself bumper alone is heavy.

I found some reinforced brackets online over the weekend that is suppose to stiffen up the mounts but I believe mine already came with something like that. Going to check later this week or when I get home today. If I need to reinforce it I will. Thanks for the tip!

Hope it doesn't sag down in the rear at all, what's it weigh like 150 pounds just about? Not including a tire and wheel that is lol, maybe some longer shackles or relocation boxes are in the future if so.

Fully dressed I'd say well over 200lbs. It took a 2" shackle to level mine back out with the no lift boxes.

I'm convinced that I may have to do relocation boxes but if not I'll just run slightly longer shackle. The ones I have are at the lower hole now and sometimes I feel the jeep sits slightly higher in rear. So maybe it will level it.

Well spent my afternoon once I picked up my son from school doing Jeep things.

Moment everyone has been waiting for

It was a little tough but honestly not as hard as I thought it would be. Had my wife and son helping but wife had to run and make dinner so really it took me and my son and a few jacks to make it work.
