I don't recall there being a separate flasher for the rear when I was digging around and fixing my turn signals.
I did find the wiring in the drivers side kick panel to be a problem though - several of the wires leading to the back (for turn signals, etc) were broken in the driver side kick panel. I found a few wires with only 1 or 2 wire strands holding on. So maybe it's simply a broken wire? I'd recommend rummaging around down there to get a feel for the condition of the wires. There's so many wires going through that one spot and they seem so prone to damage that spending an hour inspecting them may solve or prevent a number of problems

I'll check it out again this week. Bum because I have duty which means stuck on ship all day tomorrow when its supposed to be 61 degrees and sunny. Rest of the week calling for rain again.
When I was in drivers rear kick panel located in cargo area I found that splitter box that trailer wires connect to. Also wires feeding from front of vehicle which are the signal lights and other things. That's where I unplugged just before that splitter or junction box bypassing any wires beyond the ones coming back from front of jeep and tested and still only tail light. So you might be right perhaps broken wires leading up to there running through the drivers trim panels.
For the record the passenger side wiring was jacked and cut so I disconnected it at plug and replaced with the tail light wiring that was sent to me . Figured I get use of those now before my red one goes back together.
As I stated in my other thread I got home early to work on jeeps. I spent most of my time with red one getting my t case back together. It is now assembled, reinstalled in the jeep and drive shafts hooked up. That was as far as I got tonight.
Tomorrow I will fill up t case and rear diff with fluids. Install boostwerks shift kit I bought recently and then reinstall my LA kit/suspension. Mount front tires and hopefully take it for a spin
New chain installed T case bolted back up minus driveshafts hooked up which this photo does not show.
Putting t case back in having to lift it over my head about ten times until I got it to line up was not fun! I should have purchased a motorcycle jack or transmission jack for this job. The heavier part didn't bother me just awkward position I was in and trying to maintain a grip so I didn't drop it on my head.
Just so everyone is aware I would do it again if I needed to but Jeep is back together and ready to rock n roll!!! 4wd is working flawless I'm super stoked. Now its time to decide next few weeks maybe a month or so if I'll keep this one or swap to new jeep ha ha! That or slowly build the new one and just keep both
Quick question for you guys, I noticed yesterday that my right front wheel was slightly inward not angled inward but rather like it was turned with the wheel but the driver side was straight as I could tell. It is ever so slightly turned. Now I think on the trails this would not be an issue but if I were to drive it on the road obviously I will need alignment done so I don't mess anything up.
So is this my camber or toe? I was thinking that maybe the crossmember did not line up 100% which could have caused my LCA to be slightly forward on one side causing the tire to push in to compensate for the other side. Or is that not even possible? Would this be just simple adjustment made to my tie rod on one side and then it will be good to go meaning my toe is out of adjustment?

I believe I could run it like this no issues on the trails but I don't want to mess anything up. If I decide to take it on the street it would cetaintly need alignment done.

Does anyone have any experience with Dirtbound Offroad rock sliders? What I'm trying to do is see if they will clear my Rough Country Long Arm kit due to where my side plates mount and the opening on the frame where the flange nute sits. I contacted them via e-mail and the response I got was they should fit but to me that is not clearly 100% guranteed so I'm waiting on another response before I push the order button. I like thier setup, it is like some others but they offer Military discount and they have free shipping which is unheard of I think with things at this weight. So out the door I can get it for around $340 a pair of them.
Thanks and well mine is not really a restore but rather driveable and offroad capable Jeep. So I don't mind if it don't look pretty I'm concerned with the function of it more.
I just read your 1st post on your Red Jeep....The part about being Irish and red !! Well now you have a GREEN Jeep ??
How are you going to divide your time ??
I printed out a picture of that nice red example here at work..I'll hang it in garage for motivation when I get discouraged

Looks like I may have misunderstood what you meant. Strange huh started with a red jeep I'm Irish and then now I have a green one
Green one probably not staying anyhow. I like it a lot better shape overall rust wise compared to red one and it does have the HO motor but I kind of just come to my sense I spent too much time and money into red one already that I would hate to start over and scrap it. Which what I was thinking was stripping it from everything I put on it and put it on green one.
Its still an option but not at the moment when I have yet to even wheel red one.
My time not in the garage with the Jeeps is with my Wife and four kids and Navy. Not that you would think so because how can one have all that free time in the garage and then this. Trust me its a love hate relationship with my wife. I just have to balance it when I can. I even live near my Commanding Officer and he said to me one day, Chief you got enough jeeps and trucks? I said nope I would have more if I had space lol.
The Jeep thing was something I always wanted to do just couldn't afford one good enough. Then once I did buy a new one I wouldn't want to off road it. So mid deployment or near the end I had a crisis and found this red one.

My kids are grown and gone. But when they were around I didn't have the time or money for something like this..
Always thought about a project vehicle in the garage, But I always had something like a Triumph TR6 or an MG in mind. Working on that last Jeep changed my mind. Affordability , availability of parts , and being fairly easy to work on were reasons I am going with the Jeeps.
Plus , they are a blast to drive

Oh I completely agree I mean if I had more space like a shop which I intend to in next few years then I would keep both Jeeps. Save one for my 13 year old since it won't be long. Besides we could fix her up and get it to the way he wants it from now until then.
Not likely to happen but one can only wish . Your right they are easy to work on, cheap on parts, fun to drive and just overall dependable all purpose vehicle.
