Something in the water out there or wine lol. My wife and I were actually having troubles up until we went there and people warned us something in the water. Sure enough we left with two extra kids then we started with.
She was there in 2003-2005, she spent her last two years there and that is what she said too! "It's the water!" lol

She also shared about that one street where the sidewalk is "Squishy". I can't even go into why here... lol

But I guess she had a lot of fun and got to go out and about to other countries on medical courier trips now and then.

Oh it was a amazing place to go! Though while I was there my wife and I wanted to come home only because we were so far from family which really didn't change much. However; we traveled a lot and if we could go back near my end of enlistment we would. Turns out I reenlisted this past Friday for 6 more years. That is it and then I'm going to be retired from the Navy. Time will go fast and it is kind of scary to think that it is damn near done. Now what do I do when I retire hmm........

Disregard my question about center console with the switch. Turns out as I looked closer it was added in and PO who actually owned it during that time hacked it up. As usual with just about everything I have found on this XJ. That's okay fixing others issues is half the fun!

Took a look at my fire wall today specifically to the hood release cable entrance and didn't appear to show signs of water intrusion. However I did find another rubber grommet near that where PO ran several wires into it for after market power cables and grounds. I think that could be part of the problem.

I also realized that I never put down a second coat of bed liner on drivers side. I was looking around and realized I had low spots so I ran another coat over entire driver side floor area and some minor touch ups in cargo area specifically the wheel wells. I think it looks better and certainly more durable. Fumes were just about gone in cab until today lol this stuff is stinky and if it were warmer it would clear faster and dry but it will have to do for now. I'm working all week and don't plan to drive I so each day I come home if it isn't raining I'll open it up to air out.

That was all today kiddo sick so didn't want to mess too much time with the jeep during the week.

Yes reality is I'll be working but I'm going to pursue a small business. My wife if she chooses will work part time.

Life is not about money to us. We are perfectly acceptable to a practical non materialistic items. So that means we don't need fancy cars, fancy cell phones, etc just because.

Sure your right my Military pension will not allow us to survive but it will pay my mortgage and leave us some left for small bills. We will work to pay for the other provably non essential things we want in life. My kids will be older, son will be graduating and my girls will be nearly teenagers. Don't get me wrong I know its not over by then I'll still have weddings to pay for but I will not pay to out my kids through college. My wife and I already agreed to that as both of us have been successful without our parents help to put us through college. There are alternatives to funding for that you just have to be persistent and work hard.

Oh and then the normal life problems that do happen. We won't live broke lives but we don't need to be rich either. All that money does you no good when you go to your grave.

Yes I gave those education benefits to my wife so she could finish her degree. I had already received my degree (Bachelor's) while in the Navy all paid for not that you can tell writing wasn't my strong point LoL. I didn't need MGIB, plus not enough of that to go around to (4) kids and then I go back to my statement above about not paying for college.

I see your point but the next 6 years my wife and I have a plan setup and we have already been actively pursuing that.

We were and still are the same way and did just fine. Small business, Minimalism, and our kids put themselves through school to do very well for themselves. I think this helped them greatly because they learned to appreciate and respect their own personal achievements on merit rather than take it all for granted. They had to fight and work for it every step of the way and this served them very well with succeeding and with their own families now.

But small business is a huge move in the right direction for anyone. I have no clue why more do not realize the benefits of this fantastic option of "independence" we have in this culture! Why so many would rather work their butts off to make someone else better off than work their butts off for themselves I have no clue.

It is so easy and advantageous if you have the determination and invest back into a business to make it stronger and more profitable. You could pay taxes to be spent the way THEY want to spend them, or you could pay these to yourself to spend the way YOU want to spend them and grow your own assets and value.

Sorry at work and for the moment don't have much time to respond. Though I will wholeheatedly agree with your above statements regarding the small buisness aspects of things. Mine will be a simple repair shop for small engines. Something my grandfather did for a very long time. I may not make a ton of money and who knows maybe by the time I do it will decide against it. I grew up around that kind of stuff and it comes to me as second nature when fixing up small engines. So we will see if not then I will find something else to do with my time to make some money. Pretty handy and able to do just about anything when I put my heart into it.

Yea don't tell Uncle Sam I said my job isn't important lol. Captain's Mast those can be interesting. I do enough of those that I just block them out most of them while I'm in there. I just had a big case I was dealing with back on deployment I had to go tesitify for which is never fun. The interrogation that goes on in that room is crazy! Then sometimes it is just funny to watch the lawyers argue back and forth.

During A school she got caught underage drinking and fraternizing in the Officer's Club with one of her superiors. But he got it worse than she did. lol

That's because us Senior Leaders should know better. Let's face it though Men will be Men and Women will be Women. When people find themselves attracted to one another for whatever reasons your not going to stop that.
