Hard with lift and upright tranny jack?

Change a trans on the side of the road and then tell us about it.
If my grandfather gave me a rig that he used, i would keep it and restore/upgrade it too.

JUst a little insensitive there Jamaica. His truck was his grandfathers and if I had my grandfathers truck I would put everything I had into keeping it up and making improvements.

Yeah if he wants it by the time he is old enough to drive. I have a lot of stuff to pass to him when he is old enough, he's only 3 now. Jeep, Harley, guns, bows, tools and several smaller items.

Sorry guys it was late and I didn't post the whole thing.
1. The ammount of money he's gone above and beyond putting in it is staggering for a rig that needed so much work. And to convert from 2wd to 4wd? Yikes
Also factor in how cheap I been finding jeeps in my area. If he put all those parts on either of my jeeps he'd have a really clean ride really cheap is what I was getting at.

2. I don't want to be a jinx but learned to pay something for a vehicle and never inherrit a vehicled from a deceased person.
I had a 69 Chevelle we kept passing around and 6 times 6 of us had some real bad luck with that car. I swear it was Christine.

So till this day I cringe about getting a deceased persons vehicle.

I love this Jeep. I have alot of memories with my grandpa in this jeep. Its been a blessing to me that I got it. I will put as much money into as I want. I plan on handing down to my kids. Its a great vehicle. Totally worth putting money into.

Shoot if you want to get right down to it most of us have far to much invested in our jeeps and would never get what we have invested back....

That's because to some it is an investment and to others it is an obsession and to still others it is a passion. XJs forever and Renix in particular.
