Got a trip planned to Adventure Offroad Park, AOP, on March 8th.

Still need to tie up a few loose ends before the Jeep is ready for the 13hr round trip and two days of wheeling.

First thing is the A/C compressor bearing locked up.

Got is stripped all the way down last night except the bearing won't come off.
Gonna try a different bearing puller and if that doesn't work, I'll have to get a whole new compressor I guess.

Also, I've snapped brakelines on the last couple trips out.
So I got a couple of custom lines made up:

But unfortunately with the compressor off I couldn't get the Jeep cranked up to turn the tires and replace the brakelines..

Then my rocker fell off...

2x6 Rockers to come...

Only got 26 days left

Dangit... I should've sent you a PM.

All the same man, I don't know what kind of condition this one is in other than the pulley spins.

Got the A/C Compressor installed this weekend but I'm waiting on another idler pulley so still a few more days to go.

I did get the Tube Done and knocked out the passenger side!

Looks good I was leaning this route because it is cheaper than buying pre-made kits but I heard stories of body panels not being the same afterwards. Some even experienced doors not lining up properly.

That only happens if people don't tie them to the uniframe correctly. Put on stiffeners and run stout supports to tie everything together and the XJ won't flex/tweak or make as much noise anymore.

True and I was also thinking this way gives me more flexibility with my long arms. Since they also have the side braces over the unibody frame rails preventing some of the pre made kits from mounting into frame rails. I know some kits like JCR offer the long arm adaptable ones. Here they wanted for 5' 2x6 steel square tubing $102 for both. That won't count for the cost of making the tie ins to the frame but still cheaper than a premade kit.

Yes, 2x6 is cheaper than any slider kit than I’ve seen.

I put stiffness on last year and will be running 2x2 from those to the 2x6

I'll be running 2x2 .25 wall in 2 or 3 places between it and the sliders.

Started in on the driver side this weekend:

I won't have time this week to add in the 2x2 kickers like I wanted but these should do fine for the first trail ride this weekend at AOP

With all the travel I've got in the front it requires some long brake lines.

Unfortunately, on the last 2 of 3 rides this year I've broken those lines pinching them between the tire and the lower control arms.

My fix was to come down to the axle tube behind the shock then hard line over to the C's where another flex line then goes to brake caliper.
