It's a decent kit, make sure to Do the DOM upgrade. Also would be good to add additional triangulation.

Will do, and yea crossbars would be added. This isn't something that'll happen for a long time but my bookmarks are saved.

Well I've started doing some work to repair the frame damage by, welding up the crack and installing a RE Track Bar Brace:

Unfortunately, this only lasted so long as after some road test two more cracks appeared in the steering box area. Mind you I have an upgraded steering box, inner brace, and full bumper plates...

So new plan involves about $500 worth of goodies I need to order to include:

New Steering Joints
Steering Box Front End Brace
Front and Mid Section Frame Stiffeners

Also, going to take the time to do a few more welding jobs while the Jeep is down.
Hope to have it going again before Christmas...

Been there done that. I wish I knew what I know now before I started up-grading. The stiffeners and steering brace would have been done way before things like 33"s and one tone steering. I used the Rusty's front stiffeners and added additional plating around the area the cracking
occurred. So far so good.

Yes, I'm debating between his or BoostWerks Steering Brace.

Thanks for the encouraging words there, I've always just wheeled with the piece of mind that if you have an inner steering brace and full bumper brackets it would be enough. NOPE...

I'm planning on using HD offroads kit in particular and as you stated then adding plate underneath the front to tie the bottom and sides together. That should fix the cracks and prevent more.

Going with either Boostwerks or IornManFabs Front Steering Brace to disperse the load.

I have Boostwerks brace. It really does make a difference. I also like how the brace have integrated tie down/recovery points.

It holds the output shaft in double shear configuration

I can't believe just how thin the material is that the uni-body rails are made of. I cut the entire floor and rails out of the XJ trailer project, I hope to get the rest of my frame stiffeners before it's to late

Well Great News!

I purchased a Eastwood 135A Welder a month ago and it finally arrived. I set it up on .035 Flux Core wire and started burning some metal. Literally...

So AdamK came over and set it up right then filled in the hole I made.

Final repair came down to a piece of 10ga we welded along the vertical crack near the track bar which we then beat over so it forms an L around the side and bottom of the frame. Also, the cracks that were under the swaybar bracket we plated with a piece of 3/16" on the underside of the Jeep.

She's back to road worthy! Still need to place an order with HD to get their front and center stiffeners so the jeep will be trail worthy.

Two week update:

Repair holding up great to on road driving, I've put about 500 miles on it now.

Placed my order for front and mid frame stiffners along with a boostwerks DIY bearing kit.

Got a ride planned for the 14th of Jan so got to get started quick
