Not much have been done lately... Went out and bought a left fender in matching color, trans crossmember, 99+ intake, brand new alternator from a guy who was parting out a xj. Prob gonna sell the intake soon.

I have a section of 2x6 tubing, with the crossmember as a pattern, I ll be able to get started on making a new crossmember. Skids probably next year.

With the baby here, the jeep is being used as transpiration for the baby for appointments and etc, so I can't really afford any downtime.

It's official. My Trans is toast. I got a free aw4 other day with cracked housing. Perfectly good internals but I don't feel like doing the swapping.

I guess I gotta look for a 98-01 Trans on Craigslist. Dang

Bought a certified used trans with one year warranty for 245 bucks. 98k miles on it.

As soon as I get few more parts (new cooler lines and seals/filter), its going in my jeep along with new moog 280 u-joints for the driveshafts since I'm also putting in a 231 tc with sye installed on it. I finished building the 2x6 crossmember too, that will be installed at the same time too.

Today hit three junkyards, mostly no luck on the 703/784 injectors because I already cleaned them out in last few months. I got enough for 3 sets though.

I also picked up two 99+ intake manifolds, one 97+ electric fan with 10 blades. And a bunch of gauges from a 94 xj country. Good for those who want to replace their idiot lights.

After the junkyard trip, I went home and proceed to replace both front and rear seals on the transmission and dropped the pan so I can inspect the internals. Wow this tranny is so clean, can't wait to put it in the jeep. I'm gonna paint the pan tomorrow along with dipstick tube.

On a good note, by next weekend I ll be picking up a clean 2001 XJ with a blown head gasket or a cracked head. I ll find out when I tear into the engine. Probably gonna install some 784's into it and do misc stuff to it then sell it.

Replaced the front and rear seals on the transmission, replaced the filter and two quick disconnects for cooler lines, and painted the pan engine red. Jeep didn't have the heat anymore, and I got tired of it so I went ahead and bought a new thermostat housing, painted it Daytona yellow.

Tomorrow gonna put it on the jeep along with a 195 thermostat.

Took off the old thermostat housing and found that the thermostat is in several pieces... Anyone ever see that happen before?

Black Phoenix-image-370665679.jpg

Replaced that with new thermostat then installed the new housing.

On other note, I found that my AC apparently is leaking.
