It was working perfect two summers since I completely cleaned the system and filled with new refrigeration . Maybe the extreme cold caused the o rings to leak

On my front, the drivers side fender was salvaged from other xj... It was white. Today I took it off and put on a black fender, now it doesn't look like an eyesore.

Today was the day that I did the transmission swap. Took down both driveshafts, disconnected everything that needed to be disconnected. Took off entire exhaust from the downpipe to muffler. Took off the crossmember and then the transfer case. Transmission came off last.
It was difficult to put everything back. Halfway done and had to stop for the day. Tomorrow gonna hook up everything up on the new trans. The spare transfer case had a SYE already installed on it and that went on as well.
Will need to replace both u joints and the rear pinion seal on the 8.25.
The custom crossmember that i made also went on, as well..

I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I had a little difficulty taking off the front driveshaft, I had to remove one of the cap so I can slide it off the yokes. And now today when putting it back on, it wouldn't be able to install back on the jeep. It's fully compressed. I wonder how this can happen? Is it because the stock arms pulled the axle too close?

Yeah I can't take them off now. I ll wait until I'm actually ready to do the 3 link and push the axle forward.
I guess I gotta pop off a cap and try to slide it on... I still need those 4 bolts first lol

Pretty exciting to spend all my money on the tax return I got lol.
Bought some rear stiffeners to compliment the main sections I already burned on the jeep.
Got some toxic brake lines for my upcoming 3 link install.
Had my work order some material for me so I can make some sliders and shackle relocation brackets. Gotta do that before building the rear bumper so it ll be tied in.
Ordered a set of rampage h4 headlights from quadratec.

Installed the new headlights last night. It does make a little noticeable difference, then I decided to order a putco headlight harness too.
Materials r gonna be arriving today at work, can't wait to get started on my sliders.

So a week ago, I picked up a 01 xj with a blown head gasket.
It's the silver one next to my black xj.

I found a paper inside glove compartment where the mechanic looked at the jeep and diagnosed the jeep.

Someone mentioned that sometimes a blown gasket would make engine sound like knocking. Is that true?
Or am I also looking into replacing the crankshaft and rod bearings as well?
I haven't done anything to it except to take out the battery to charge it. That way, when I crank it up, I wanna hear how it run. Of course it won't be too long. Probably 10 seconds or so.
I would add that there's no water in the oil or oil in the coolant. I'm going to do the compression test after the test crank. So it ll give me a good idea of where I stand on regarding engine and head condition.

Started welding on the sliders project yesterday, couldn't finish it because of the weather. Today I installed the putco harness. Pretty straightforward.
