Thanks. I love those dash LEDs too.

As for size. I'm hoping to go 35's and with a selectable in the rear and lunchbox up front until I decide to upgrade the front axle much later.

Looks like a 8.8 is most likely to happen because I live near like 5 u pull it junkyards around .

The 3 yards I've been to around my area (York and Lancaster) had FAR more Exploders than Cherokees. Most if not all of them still had 8.8's in them, and there were more of the newer ones with discs, too.

I'd love a selectable if they weren't so damn expensive. But I'm far from that stage

I forget the name of the yard, I'll have to ask my buddy that lives out that way. But, the owners are real douche bags. Tried to charge me $100 for a front drive shaft, and then gave me attitude when I told them they were crazy. Not too sure I want to go back there. But there's a new yard here in York that's pretty nice and they have some exploders too, and the owner is much more reasonable. $35 for a shaft! Not sure what they might charge for an 8.8. http://www.baughmansupullit.com Probably a bit of a drive for you

I got tired of the dome lights and the crappy festoons.

I bought some festoon adapters from super bright LEDs and soldered it to the copper tabs (holders) and inserted LEDs in it... I have two dome lights and one cargo light.

Cargo light didn't needed any mods. The festoon led was plug and play.

I got two warm whites for two dome lights and one ultra white for cargo. After turning on the lights I decided I ll get two more ultra whites for the domes. Warm whites doesn't cut it out. I fact I think it's darker than stock bulbs. Lol

Pics coming later

I'm gonna go over my buddy's after work today, he got a 96 xj with a supercharger, 8 inch lift with long arms and rear coil conversion with 4 link. He's doing full width axles now.

Getting some ideas for my xj.

Alright so I got cool white LEDs (warm whites didn't cut it out for me)

That was three lights being turned on. (I have two dome lights and one cargo light)

I got two pigtails and led bulbs for the area under dashboard. Prob doing that tomorrow.

On other note, I picked up a 231 (120k miles on it) so I can finally do my SYE. The guy even gave me a free AW4 too! He was parting out the jeep cause of the trans. Apparently the nipple where one of the cooler lines go broke off. He said the internals were still good...

Gotta respect him.

The damaged nipple...

He also gave me this...
Storage toolbox for that cubby space in the cargo....

I really respect this guy now. Too bad he isn't a member of cherokeeforum. I would have gave him a proper Thank-You. He's a member over at naxja.

That was an excellent Friday evening, in my eyes lol.

Just did the SYE conversion on the 231 that I picked up yesterday.

I pre lubed the chain, bearings, and the shafts with dex/mer III fluid, but I don't know if I m supposed to fill up with same fluid or use gear oil instead? And what's the capacity?

194 bulb sockets with pigtails arrived along with some 194 LEDs. I'm gonna swap those in the lights under the dash.

I did the radio delete and rear speaker delete like a year ago, I'm tired of seeing two holes in the ceiling where the rear speakers used to be... Any ideas what I could do to it?

I was thinking of getting some flush mount LEDs and install them into the holes so they can illuminate my cargo area (the work bench) lol.

I could tap into the wires already running to the rear to power the speakers and change them to power the lights. So I don't have to run the whole new wires.

Well today I finally fixed the wiring mess from the gauges in center console and put the trim piece back on.

Those lights that illuminate the floor from under the dashboard have been converted to LEDs. I cut off the housings that held the original bulbs, crimped the new sockets with pigtails and zip tied underneath. Illuminated the floor pretty good along with the LEDs dome lights.
I used 194 type with 15 LEDs on it.
