This is where I mounted the trans temp gauge and the clock. The high idle and e-fan switches wasn't installed at the time when the picture was taken. It also got painted black.

Whenever I do the OBA. The air pressure gauge is gonna go in the middle between those two gauges.

I ordered 561 festoons from SBL and they wouldn't fit and I broke them. Sigh.

You want these. You can get a festoon adapter for them, or solder them like I did.

Just saw your post asking about the rear section. I'll snag one and post it.

Do you want it in this thread or my build thread?

awesome job.... I love seeing cars resurrected from the crusher, the ones parted out because the windshield washer or something doesn't work is a joke..

those cluster lights would really compliment my 'check engine' light that is always on..

Thanks..

My co worker is gonna scrap his '88 xj. I just asked him to take a pic of the axle. Hoping its a d44.

What else should I take from that year that would work with my xj?

Probably nothing much besides that. What axle do you have now? If it's a c8.25 it might not really be worth the swap. Although d44's are cool as hell.

Yup I have a c8.25 29 spline.

I'm going either 8.8 or d44 whichever come first.

What size tires/ lockers do you plan on going with? I'd say go for the 8.8 because you're likely to find one already with rear discs. You can convert the d44 but from what I understand it's a PITA. I have a C8.25 w/ ZJ discs, so I'm just gonna build the **** outta it.

BTW, I just saw some other mods from your first page I didn't remember seeing before. Those dash LEDs came out real good! I need to do that.
