Ok, think I have the ticking fixed, and adjusted my alignment a bit, and I think it's good so revised my list:
fix engine not revving over 2000 RPM (in progress)
figure out how to keep brake lines from binding
Front skid/bash plate
water pump
fuel gage being wrong with new fuel pump (will have to use up the tank since it's basically full right now)
new exhaust header and intermediate pipe.
back from the machine shop! BUT the gasket I ordered was mangled in shipping. waiting on a replacement (ordered two from two different places hoping one gets here intact). I have a couple of broken bolts to replace as well, and cleaning everything that bolts to the head up, but hopefully by this weekend? We’ll see how long it takes to get everything back together. We’ve hit summer weather, and temps are pushing triple digits after noon, so my sprints of working on it are a bit short.
nothing is torqued down yet, just hand tight. Had to stop so I could get some yard work done before it gets hot. Huge shoutout to my wife, who after she finished rolling her eyes, helped me put it in and keep the gasket in place.
got this far before it just got too hot and I everything I touched burned my hands through my gloves. Maybe two more mornings of working in the cool to finish up?
a bit more progress today before I had to start work. will probably put on the belt and flush the cooling system this afternoon. There was a ton of crud in the engine passageways, would like to try to get some of that out.
I just did this last night. I haven't done anything since. (other than upload the video) will have to go through each number and see where it is at, just to compare. the o2 sensor, and knock sensor look better than they did before. But still no good.
