My working on the Jeep season runs from about April to October.
My goal every October is to hopefully not have to work on the Jeep till the following spring.
Couple years ago had to do a CPS in February. But otherwise have been lucky.
Also got lucky with the CPS cause I got a warmer day to do it.
But ever since then have been toying with buying one of those heaters just in case.

I try to plan things out so I dont have to do anything in the cold aswell. But like you said it dont always work that way. I debated for years about getting one myself. I absolutely love it. Now normally I would have been inside the garage for a project like that but the garage was full of other projects lol. Having it outside kept my legs and nards warm while laying under the jeep and i could hold my hands in front of it to warm up and I was honestly comfortable even though it was 10 degrees. It's the same in the garage because the garage is too big to be heated with this not to mention its vented at the top. Had it for a few years now dont really know how i by without it for so long lol
Sorry to babble... I love it and I always recommend them to anybody who has more than a 2 car garage to heat. If that's what you have or something smaller there are some really nice electric heaters I would probably buy first because of the fumes

Think I am going to see if I can find one on Craigslist.
Hope to never use it. LOL.
Thanks for the review.

I've been tinkering with little things here and there on the XJ and driving it alot more than my Civic these days.
While on a small trip roughly an hour down the highway on a very hot day I had an oil pressure scare. The gauge was just under 20psi at a steady 2000rpm. When stopped it would read about 9psi. Not good at all. The engine was quiet but that did nothing to put my mind at ease. The next day I started getting ahead of myself and reading up on bearing swaps and oil pumps and all that jazz. But i calmed myself and went to the store to buy a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Hooked that up in 10 minutes and was surprised at the results
This is idle on a 92 degree day after a half hour drive with the gauge fastened to the hood lol
30psi by 2000rpm
40psi by 2500rpm
50+ over 3500rpm
I am more than happy.
I posted about this in the what did you do to your cherokee today thread and EZEARL sent me a link and a discount code to a Mopar oil pressure sending unit on Rock Auto. Thanks dude!
I recieved it a few days later and found out that its within a few PSI of the mechanical gauge. Give or take a few pounds but tremendously more accurate than the cheapo pos from advance auto. Very happy with the outcome of the situation
I installed some window visors. They arent the greatest but the 2 door visor options arent plentiful.
they get the job done when it's hot out and raining while driving. At the same time they dont hang low enough to leave the windows open an inch or so while sitting as I was hoping for. I am quite spoiled by the visors on my C10 and Civic because they allow an inch of open window without rain getting in. But these are better than nothing I dont know why I waited over 2 years to buy a pair
I had planned on these upgrade over a year ago but other things got in the way and took up time and money. Better late then never though
62mm throttle body from XJwonders and 703 injectors from jhc7399. Both members were a pleasure to deal with. Parts came packaged well and were 100% good to go.
Clean as can be
Forgot pics of the injectors before install but let's just say they were literally like brand new. And the ones I took out were very much 178k and 20 years old.
But installed pics
I made sure everything was installed properly with no leaks, reset the PCM and she fired right up.
Night and day difference. I wish I would have done this last summer like I had originally planned. Such smooth acceleration and excellent throttle response. I highly recommend these parts from the members on the forum.
Cruise control stopped working for some reason. Checked the vacuum lines, vacuum canister, replaced the module, adjusted the brake pedal switch, and checked every connection. Turns out the SET button on the steering wheel is broke. The on/off and the other work but the set button works when it wants to. Looks like someone broke the little mounting tab then pushed the button too hard and it cracked the plastic. So I have to pop it out and squeeze it from the front and back and it kicks on lol
Now shes ready to go on our 400 mile round trip to Ocean City MD tomarrow morning
Cheers fellas

Made the 400 mile round trip to Ocean City MD without a single issue. Even managed to average 20mpg.
20 miles into the drive home all vitals look good and the cruise didnt give up
I had planned some of this a long time ago but if all stays on track the near future plans are
New water pump
New thermostat
New clutch fan
SYE and Adam's driveshaft
Core Shifters short throw shifter
New battery and battery tray/hold down
Clear front marker lights
Clear tailights(not all clear just the ones without yellow lenses)
Some kind of headlight upgrade(already have a relay/harness setup installed)
Possibly some other little things. The cooling system is working fine but I would like those parts above to be new for piece of mind

So about the markers.
I run these:
https://www.amazon.com/1997-2001-Cherokee-Corner-Lights-Bumper/dp/B01AYNB6CI/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=clear+lenses+for+xj+jeep&qid=1568146185&s=gateway&sr=8-1
Then my OCD kicked in so I had to buy these:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/97-01-Jeep-...72.m2749.l2649
The one thing I did not think about was the amber bulbs showing through and destroying the look on my black '00.
If you are going down this road might want to give this a read.

Those are exactly the ones I plan to purchase lol
I remember reading through that thread it was quite informative and inspiring. I dont remember what got me off track around that time but I got into other stuff and put the jeep on hold for a bit

So I understand completely how it got put on the back burner
I spent over $200 doing that.
But I liked the look on a black XJ.
And I wanted it.
So there. LOL.

Interesting about the oil pressure gauge. My 2dr reads lower than I want, even after replacing the sending unit with one from Advanced. Sounds like I need to give a mechanical gauge and a Mopar sending unit a try as well.
I have a "Hurst" short-throw shifter from Core on my 4dr. The difference between it and the stock shifter in my 2dr is night and day. The Hurst has a very tight shift pattern and the shifter feels heavier. There is zero slop but it's definitely less forgiving than the stock shifter (you'll probably notice the "weight" most in traffic). In low range is where it really shines because you can sort of "bang shift" and not lose as much momentum when changing gears. When anyone else drives it, they always comment on how different it is - I would definitely recommend it despite the price.

I know exactly the shifting feel that you are describing. My stepdad had an actual Hurst shifter in his old v8 dodge dakota years ago when Hurst still made them. It was a dream to drive. If it wasn't for knowing how it felt I wouldnt be so interested in it. Really looking forward to that change. Sometimes I feel like I'm shifting an old 4 on the floor with a foot and a half of shifter throw
