Default Project Gray Hair

Bought from an old fin lady in May 2013. Just over 200k miles.
Limited rust as far as i knew (at the time), was rust sprayed ever year since it was purchased in 95.

So the fun began!

First job was cleaning it up to see what i had to deal with.

I removed the side runners because they looked made it look too low and it was holding dirt against the lower door frame from muddy boots and things

Cleaned the engine bay to see if there were any problems, nope just dirty.

Sent it in to get safety checked and it didnt pass because of this:

One third done, more to go.

Seam sealed then bedlined.

All done, time for the carpet to go back in.

Now that your all caught up with what ive done, time for live updates!

only did the trouble spots and where i knew problems could arise later, im not going to be doing extreme offroading like water up to the hood. Its gonna be a daily driver so i want it to be offroadable but still be realiable onroad so im not too worried about floor rust.

It's a 90 amp, there is 136 amp alternators from certain grand Cherokees and 160 amp alternators from 2002 dodge Durango that is plug and play. Good to have when u are running aftermarket lights, winches, etc

Yeah I was thinking of doing a ac alternator swap. Delete the ac that doesn't even cool off then put and alt in its place. I've got manufacturing class next semester so i have lots of welding and machining ideas

Yeah that was a thought but I want my alt up and out of the way for the river trails around my city. That and I'm going to have a compressor for the air horn I've got on order so ill have all the air I need.
