Yeah, my grandfather has been nagging at me to get mine too. My dad, of course, just keeps saying, "Yeah you should get it, it's a good thing to have." Luckily, I recently took the hunter's safety course - so I don't even need to take the concealed class, just need to fork over the dough and send in the application... sure wish $$$ grew on trees.

Don't we all. The class was a piece of cake. I'm taking off work Wednesday for a doctors appointment and will be going to the sheriffs office to file for my CCL. That'll be another 100 bucks

So, I'm still doing a terrible job with pics but here is what was completed this weekend.

ZJ tie-rod conversion
CB radio wired and mounted
Built a custom cubby box for one of my 12" speakers

All that's left is to carpet the box. I WILL get pics of everything tonight. I need to stop saying I will and then forget haha

Here is the only pic I have at the moment of the cubby box. This was in the process of building. You can also see my CB antenna mounted

Haha I know right. I'm working on the pictures now. I'm waiting on photobucket to load. It sounds pretty good. It can sound better with some amp tuning. The speaker I have in there at the moment is only temporary so I'm just leaving it for now. I will be replacing with a Kicker 12" CVT

Cool man... I might have to use part of this for the 10" that I had planned. I'm really wondering what the sound waves look like inside the box with that interior shape. Not being critical, I just wonder about things like that.

I'm not too sure what it would look like. I ran a similar set up in my regular cab Tacoma behind the drivers seat. It was a .7 cu ft box with a 10" kicker CVT. It was incredible how great it sounded. It was nice and crisp but when you wanted some boom, it was enough for my truck and any suv that pulled next to me haha.

Right on... I have a 10" MTX Blue Thunder in a bandpass box but it takes up a bunch of room in the back right now... I have a pair of 10" kicker comps and I'm planning on separating them and putting one in my XJ in a cubby box and the other in my WJ in a cubby box - so this just help gives me ideas... thanks for the info.

No problem. I will be building another box within the next week or so as well. This one will be slightly larger and will go in my uncles jeep. I'll be sure to take a few pics of the changes I'll be making
