Looking real good!
I like how those rear tube fender flares/wheel wells turned out.
On the axles, are you planning on upgrading to disc brakes?
I also might have missed this somewhere, but how much lift are you planning on running all said and done?

on the brake question. i already have front disk on the 44 axle. the rear 60 will be converted at some point but drums will work for now.
on the lift im at 6.5 in front and 5.5 in rear right now. im hoping to come down a little bit once all my clearencing is complete. it will take awhile to dial in actual height
and as far as making the rear tubs for people i can do that but if you got the *****, equipment, and time to cut the structural part of the unibody apart you can most likley do it yourself, hopefully i get the front started tomorrow so you can see that. it would be more likely for me to produce

picked up my d60 rear today. $199 (pic wont load but if youve seen one crusty rear end youve seen them all, ill take a pick of it next to the d35 when i get a chance)
made new worst enemies. front leaf spring bolts. me and saw zaw-won but are guna have alot of repair/beefing to do on front mounts
picked up s10 leaf pack. i am not making a bastard pack i am using the whole leaf pack minus the helper. this relocates my axle back 3in and the whole pack is 2.5in longer so i will no longer require my relocation brackets. also the 3 leaf s10 pack has a 900lbs load capasity where the hd cherokee pack had 750lbs. so it will be comparible in spring rate and also help with the extra weight im adding

noooiiiice man......good score on the d60
love the updates...u think this rigs' ugly & u've just molded different ideas u've seen done, but all the little things make it truly a ting-a-beauty.....u've put some serious thought & research into things...HIGH FIVE!
putting s10 leafs on to relocate & compensate added weight, r u adding a leaf for lift or is it just gonna come from relocating the mounting & shackles?

i did some playing around today and got a 35in tire in there tucked up as high as possible (rear) and then measured where center was. pretty much im cut high enough that i could run 35s riding on stock bump stops (lower than stock ride height obviously) with stock rear axle. so still not sure what final lift height is guna be

had a few hours today so i went and picked up another project vechicle. 1965 pontiac grand prix. then played in the shop for a bit.
got inner tub skins cut and tacked. and cut alittle on the front inner fender well so i can get some stuff dialed in on the front flares/tub. still need to cut more but lost power in shop

6in shackle eye to eye is like a 1.75in lift shackle or something like that. i call it a 6in shackle because shackles are not specific to an xj. the ones i used here are for a chevy truck
dont want a slammed xj, just dont want my tire of choose (37s) to mandate how high i am. i want to be able to have a low center of gravity. ill be somewhere between 4.5 and 6.5in of lift when im all done. whatever feels best
i think im guna make a street maching out of it. do some body work, paint it all black, bag it, big wheels and either through a ls1 in it or one of my cousins race car motors. he has a few laying around that are 500hp+ and he doesnt race anything anymore

This took forever to read through. So man great ideas though that front bumper looks nice, I want one. I'm going to have to come find you when I make it back stateside, cause I have tools to barter with for some work
However you took my best barter chip from me (my new ESAB plasma cutter)

My family all used to race locally in figure 8s here so theyve been aquiring race car stuff for 20 years or so. they wont sell any of it but if i have a cool ebnough project they will let me borrow.
cousins got a 406 that was dynoed at like 800hp at crank he is working on putting in something. he wants to do his 53 ford but im tring to talk him into putting it in his yj for now
and as far as having resources look back at the begining of my build. 4in grinder, a borrowed welder, pawn shop chop saw, and a whole lot of forum reading. gota start somewhere. This iwas my first 4wd vehicle, ever
