Ill try to start from the begining.
here is about what it looked liked stock (not mine but pretty darn close) Cost me a huge $800 from an original owner(old lady) 162000miles Attachment 16274 here is mine after doing a 3.5in budget lift, and some craigslist 31s $80 in lift and about $100 in tires rack was $75 off cl (http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Suspension_Steering_Axles_and_Brakes/Budget_Lift.htm) Attachment 16275 |

Found these on cl for $125 so i had to buy them. 33x12.5x15 hankook t-34 radial mudders
Picture didnt work And i bought some crager soft 8s for $172 shipped to my door. got them mounted and where way to close to fender flares. So cut and more lift. I replaced the v8 up country coils with some 3.5 coils of cl for $50. so that with the 2in pucks neted me 5.25 lift in front. In the rear i added a 2in shackle i found on craigs list for $20 and bolted three s10 leaves unerd my jeep main leaf. netted me 5.5. I built my own longer lca arms out of some 2in 1/4 wall tube. Made the stock control arm bushings work in them. Built .75in t-case drop. and some monroe shocks for a tj or something like that $160 new (4in longer than stock) here is what i ended up with Attachment 16283 these where 31s i threw on for the week end ----v Attachment 16284 |

I got tired of the chrome on mine and it was getting a little rusty and crusty. I picked up a jacked up 01 for $450 off of cl and sold motor 2 days later for $550. so i decided to do an 01 front clip, door, and interior swap. pics are of exterior only as interior is still on going. also made my doors removible. still trying to wire the 01 doors into the 92 wireing harness (not fun)
notice the widsheild wiper fluid res. is now in fender Attachment 16286 Attachment 16287 Attachment 16288 rear doors are now on but i do not have a pic yet |

My alternator went out and i am a firm believer in if it is broke and you fix it the way it was it will break again so why not make it better. I decided to put one off of a v8 96-99 grand cherokee (taking me from 90amps stoack to 136amps) $37.12 from the junk yard. grinder and disks are needed. takes an hour or 2 but well worth it
Attachment 16299 Attachment 16300 Attachment 16301 Attachment 16302 Attachment 16303 I love the difference. might lights are brighter. the needle on the v gauge never moves. and highley recomend for next mod |

I read alot on a ton of different forums. Anything you can do to improve your jeep that doesnt cost alot i will try. This one works and works well. I removed my stock mech fan and installed a elec i had laying around. The fan was off a 96-99 ford taurus, but almost any reasoniblely flat 16in fan will work. dont have any installed pics just what it looks like out of jeep. A 16in fan fits rite into stock shroud. I also had to relocate the radiator .75in forward for a little more clearence. Thermo switch was like $23 and the relay was $8 the misc fuses and wiring was around $15. When it was all said and done i gained 1-2 mpgs and it made a noticible power difference

That brings you almost up todate on the way it sits rite now. I have done normal stuff like up grading batt cables and a bunch of little stuff but who really cares about that.
Now for stuff i am working on that will be installed in the next week or 2 i hope. I am going to be adding a bunch of weight and armor so i will be lifting up to 6.5in. I found a set of new rc 6.5 coils on cl for $60. I ordered 6.5in Doestch dt8000 lift shock for $208 to my door. I am still shopping for 8.8. and i need to figure out steering then it will all go on. next is all the weight i am talking about. still got some projects to go but this is what i got so far |

Control arm drop brackets. Rc sells them for like 189 with back braces. I made them with metal i had laying around. I thing mine look pretty beefy because they are all one piece and made from 1/4in plate.
I started by cutting stock control arm brackets from one of my many parts donors. the rest should explain itself Attachment 16306 Attachment 16307 Attachment 16308 Attachment 16309 Attachment 16310 |

Shackle relocation boxes. I explain the reasoning for these in depth in the fabrication section. I am not guna retype all of that. Pretty much lift shackles limit down travel. by moving the shackle forward 3.5in and down 3in i am only gaining .5-.75in of lift but probabvly close to 3in in down travel.
again i started by cutting up a jeep to get a template Attachment 16315 Attachment 16316 Attachment 16317 Attachment 16318 Attachment 16319 |
how much money for a bumper like that? id be willing to drive to pick it up

first pic shows where it is now and second show where it will be. notice location of grey tape in both pics Attachment 16320 Attachment 16321 |
